This one grew on me rather gradually, and now almost seven years later I'd say it's a very satisfying and generally engaging album. Needless to say Underworld radically shift their trajectory with each successive release, OwB is no different. The mood and structure is less cohesive when compared with its predecessors, yet it still bears all the hallmarks of Underworld mk III. It begins brilliantly with Crocodile and the crowd favourite Beautiful Burnout, followed by the more insular and cerebral housey Holding the Moth and To Heal, the first of three shorter interlude tracks which serve a similar function to Blueski and Ess Gee I suppose. I found To Heal pretty contrived though. As for the remainder, Faxed Invitation and Glam Bucket are enjoyable but kinda forgettable as well, although they're both really pretty. Ring Road is actually unlistenable for me, honestly I think it's awful and I skip it without fail. Best Mamgu Ever closes the album on a distinctive and moving note. Yeaaah

why is this being compared to Dubnobass? Because of the similar cover art? They couldn't be more different. This is a natural progression from A Hundred Days Off... and it's really really good.

I never really loved Dubnobass as much as their other albums, this one ranks something like third best (which is still quite awesome)

I think Dubnobass isnt really comparable to this album.. both were recorded and produced in two completely different ways, at two completely different times from when electronic music was in its infancy to now when electronic music is taken for granted and as easy as hitting a key on your laptop. This as much a forward thinkin album as Dubnobass... just as inovitave and thus JUST AS AWESOME!

Damn!...those last two tracks really surprised me in one way : the voice reminded me a lot of Maynard James Keenan, from Tool
