His show is... OK. It feels more like incomplete sketches than full-fledged stories, which I guess serves the somewhat surreal tone well. It's kinda amusing but unsubstantial. Vince could probably use some formal acting training, although his detached, monotonous performance is oddly somewhat charming. I like the bank robbery and amusement park episodes.

Whenever I’m stressed or anxious about something, I ask myself “what would Vince Staples say about this” and then do that

i wasn’t impressed by self titled last year at first because it was different from what i’d loved about vince for years, but grew to like it. it was like a bridge to this album, which probably would sound underwhelming if self titled didn’t come out first last year. it would’ve been too jarring to jump from FM! and its predecessors to this. it’s different but just beautiful imo even down to the title.

After listening to the new album, I will say I need a Vince x Mustard collab tape next, they work so well together!

Bro I fucking love this new style of the last 2 projects. He really is showing how versatile he his and has built such a solid discography it's insane: at least 5 super high quality albums is unheard of for most rappers. Sad that he'll remain underrated in both the mainstream and also among hip hop fans it seems
