True story: what did the Israeli gap-year girl in Goa tell her friend at the trance party when the ecstasy they brought off some shady guy on the beach turned out to be a dud and experienced a rapid come down and got a heightened and pure awareness of the world around her? "OH GOD MY EARS ARE BLEEDING JUST WHAT IS THIS SHITTY MUSIC? ITS THE SAME SONG OVER AND OVER AGAIN! ITS UNDERGROUND BECAUSE IT SUCKS"

True story, part 2: Someone, listening to Death Metal, shouldn't make jokes about "it's the same song over and over again!"

That's not a story. Well, can't blame a memetrance fan for lacking creativity lmao. More importantly, death/black metal does not rely on its listeners being on a faraway dimension where they have realized all there is to know about anything and everything and has achieved eternal wisdom to live, laugh, and love, now and until the end of time, or at least until next week's LSD boofing. When you're really really high off of some sweet little sticky sticky 69420blazeit dude weed lmao even big macs taste great! But hey, apparently putting some hindu shlokas on top of a drum machine are at the same level as writing riffs! I've been listening to memetrance long fore you was born young lassie - from its birth place too - and its always been trash, but not as much as nearly anywhere now though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIjFMQsb2S4

In contrast to your "story", which seems very contrived, is my statement an allusion to stories that I experienced almost every day. I've been listening to all kinds of electronic music for almost 24 years now and it's always the same thing. Some "underground" fans who can't stand the "commercialization" of their scene accuse modern artists of only producing garbage. I experienced that back then in the trance scene, as well as in the dance scene, the techno scene, the house scene, etc. Simply everywhere. But then, when you listen to these "masterpieces" of bygone times, they're often just trash, as well. I like listening to different old tracks as well as different new ones. And that across many genres, which is perhaps the reason that I still haven't had enough of listening to individual genres. At least you seem to have some idea about what you're writing. That makes you more likeable than others who simply reject electronic music as such.

"But hey, apparently putting some hindu shlokas on top of a drum machine are at the same level as writing riffs!" - Anyone can learn to play the guitar. Or playing the drums. Likewise, anyone can produce an EDM track. But that's not what it is about. It's about perfecting it. And that's not easy anywhere. No matter what some snobby “critics” say. If my taste in music was so shitty that I was constantly busy badmouthing other music, then I would probably have to convince myself that I was actually listening to music that was really difficult to produce. Instead of simply accepting that music doesn't have to be difficult to produce to have its right to exist. Still don't know what Meme-Trance is.
