This song was previewed on X’s Snapchat with the caption “Spit It Out”, referencing the sample, Spit It Out by Slipknot. It was officially released on June 8, 2017 on X’s SoundCloud. The release came a few hours after X’s Revenge Tour show in San Diego where he was sucker punched by a member of Rob $tone’s crew. Shortly after he was jumped, he returned to the stage and canceled the show then went to Twitter to state that venue security allowed the assailant to get on stage and attack him.
The situation caused rioting outside of the venue and “Fuck Rob $tone!” chants. The man who sucker punched X was taken to the hospital in critical condition and treated for multiple stab wounds.
