On “Lil Baby,” Young Thug brags about his celebrity status being on the Forbes list and name drops some of his peers and contemporaries in the rap game.

While it may seem at first glance that the song was named after Thug’s frequent collaborator Lil Baby, the connection is merely a coincidence, as Thug addresses a significant other as “lil' baby” in the song’s chorus, not referring to the rapper at all except for a shout out among over a dozen other rappers in an ad lib.

Shortly after the "So Much Fun" initial release, Thug updated most songs on it, including this song. In the updated version, he adds more names as ad libs at the end of the first verse and has less strange effects on the vocals of the outro.

The track is one of the four Pi'erre Bourne-produced songs on the album, the others being “I’m Scared,” “Light It Up,” and “Surf.”
