“Oh U Went” is a catchy track released June 2023, in which Young Thug raps about his rising affluence while recruiting Canadian superstar Drake to rap about his solidified place in the music industry, both artists come together to present a melodic, yet gangster-like trap song.
The song shares a similar cadence to Thug’s Juice WRLD-accompanied, August 2019, “Mannequin Challenge” — similarly in which Thug raps in a bouncy, repetitive tone while Drake imitates Juice’s ambient flow.
In the track, Youth Thug makes several references to his gangster-like lifestyle, foreshadowing his May 2022 arrest as Drake reaffirms Thugger’s words.
