A couple of years back, a friend of mine who at the time also produced electronic music came over. We sat down and talked, all the while music is playing in the background. And then, of course, the Random Numbers God decides to play this song (the player was on shuffle), and when that part begins where the sounds morphs back and forth between a female voice and ... something else, my friend stopped talking, right in the middle of the sentence, his jaw dropped as close to the floor as is anatomically possible. "How the ____ did they do *that*?!?!?!", he asked, but of course, I did not know the answer. Up to that moment, I had not even noticed this passage as being unusual or anything. But apparently there is some far-out magic at work. Ever since, I have appreciated this song even more.
