Released alongside Zach Bryan’s self-titled album, “East Side of Sorrow“ explores the loss of loved ones, a theme present in many Zach Bryan songs, attachment, and purpose. The title and lyrics are possibly inspired by the biblical story of Cain and Abel. After killing his brother Abel, Cain is condemned to wander the land of Nod, East of Eden.
