“eyesore” follows an anxious glaive’s memories of a relationship and how it will affect his future. It is the lead single from glaive’s debut EP, cypress grove, which was released on November 19, 2020.
In a November 2020 interview with The Fader glaive explains the backstory of “eyesore”:
"It’s also a neat encapsulation of what it feels like to be a teenager who occasionally wants to shrink from the glare of others."
