One of the best pop records ever made. [39] It mixes electronic music, eurodance, pop rock and alternative rock music so well. So ahead of its time.

Very good album! Impressively good, actually. As an album, there are only 8 songs, and 6 of them are pop masterpieces. Underrated!

(2/2) It's not a bad cover but I wish they had used their own original work here. Maybe they tried to bring more western feel in the album, who knows. Clowns was a song I had almost forgotten but in the album context it's one of the peaks. It pretty much sums up the melancholy, intensity and atmosphere I praised before. And the vocal harmonies in Clowns (and Malchik Gay as well), god! Julia and Lena are definitely not (or at least weren't) live singers but in the studio they sound amazing. The album is short but as the overall atmosphere is so dark and heavy I think it's good to leave it there and continue with Russian versions and remixes. 200 km/h in the Wrong Lane is and will always be a prisoner of the group's early lesbian marketing trick but I wish people could see beyond that. One of the best pop records ever made, indeed.

(1/2) I gave 200 km/h in the Wrong Lane a listen for the first time in years - the whole album from track to track with proper headphones. I must repeat the words I wrote before: One of the best pop records ever made (btw, glad to see so many here agreed!) To me the album (and 200 по встречной as well) is a good example of a project where all the piecses are in the right place. This project is not just another pop product but something more interesting. The melancholy, the intensity and especially the atmosphere in this album is something you can't usually find in mainstream pop. And I think t.A.T.u. lost that magic too in their later albums. The production here is flawless and there's so many interesting things going on that I hadn't even noticed until now. Not Gonna Get Us and Show Me Love sounded even more powerful than I remembered. How Soon Is Now in the middle felt a bit unnecessary and it lacks the emotion of the original version by The Smiths.
