MTV debuted on August 1, 1981 with the Buggles "Video Killed the Radio Star". The rest of the videos in the early line-up were a combination of established rock veterans, cutting edge new wave acts and several examples of obscurities that got surprising amounts of air time. Please help those of us that have contributed to this tag by tagging songs that had videos played on MTV from 1981 to 1983 or so. Please only tag tracks you are positive the channel played as videos or live clips during this period.
