Melodi Grand Prix (Nordic) is an international song contest for children aged 8 - 15. Participating countries are Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. The Scandinavian competitions started in Denmark with its national De unges melodi grand prixheld in 2000 and 2001. In 2002 it widened to Norway and Sweden and became MGP Nordic, where three finalists from each country competed, for a total of nine entries.
