[artist]Beast Conjurator[/artist] - Death Metal in its most primitive and rough root. Element which combined with a bewitching and energetic Speed Metal sensibility, works on the Qliphotic Plains to create an obscure, sick and morbid black aura. Great tag! I think this must necessarily exist. For more than 10 years has been ongoing a "wave" of Death Metal bands who are adapting the sound of Old School to the "modern" Death Metal but not from any particular scene, so, it's not necessarily a "new genre". It's not just a question of temporality. http://www.lastfm.es/group/New+Old+School+Death+Metal

Definitely not as much awesomeness as regular OSDM, but there is some gold in here.

Means bands mostly formed in 21st century, worshipping old school bands. This isn't really a Genre or anything.

this tag is cool, if I am looking for some 2011 "old school death metal", this is the place to go, the new wave brings a different style of recordings and even progression in playing/writing so its rad

Is the "new wave" really necessary? I mean, if they do death metal the old school way, it's old school death metal, no matter the release year. (2)
