Trap Metal is a type of Trap music that is characterized by heavy, distorted 808s and basslines, as well as vocals that are usually screamed or shouted. It usually features dark imagery and lyricism, typically taking inspiration from Gangsta Rap, Industrial Hip Hop and Horrorcore. Despite its name, Trap Metal isn’t a type of metal, although some groups in the genre have sampled or played metal riffs in their music.
