Yeah, I guess those are some of the things in my country that I'm most proud of. Hey, Croatia is very nice! Sorry to ask you, and feel free not to answer, but how old are you? I ask this because, well, Yugoslavia feels like a somehow nostalgic memory. I remember learning about it at school, and then, all of sudden, it simply disappears. Then a few years later I hear about this country I've never heard before, Serbia hahaha. And hey, nice of you to tell me about the new wave scene o: I didn't know that. I've always heard that Yugoslavia was a very culturally free country, in spite of some other communist countries, but I don't know at which extent it's true or not :( Anyway, what are your favourite new wave bands from Yugoslavia? I'd love to try those. What about it worldwide? I know two ska bands from the Yugoslavia times, but I think they were from Serbia.

Wow, thanks, but yours is amazing as well, buddy! I guess that the country I was born in has really helped me being so... Eclectic haha. Where are you from, by the way?

Hi, I'm glad you asked :) || If you aren't familiar with their most famous singles, I would recommend listening to compilation Hot Rocks from 1971, that's a great start to get a first impression. || As for albums, their best material are so called Big Four albums: Beggars Banquet (1968), Let It Bleed (1969), Sticky Fingers (1971), Exile On Main St (1972) -- all considered among the best of all time. You definitely won't regret listening to them multiple times. || As for others, they had many periods of music output so there's so much to choose from and it'll sometimes feel like listening to a different band from album to album. More punky & new-wave Some Girls (1978), psychedelic TSMR (1967), poppy 60's sounding Aftermath (1966), early albums filled with blues covers, all very good. Their newer albums (mid 80's onwards) would be good only if you get to the point where you consider yourself a fan, otherwise not so much :P || Have fun exploring and good luck!
