If you like Ash Ra Temple, you should listen to Hash Jar Tempo, a psychedelic post rock band who named themselves after Ash Ra Temple. I was browsing Neu!'s shoutbox so this isn't totally random btw.

Actually I like most of Face Dances a great deal. In fact, to me it is much like a Pete solo album, except somewhat better due to Roger's presence. It just has big gaping holes in it, same as It's Hard and Who Are You. All of them have incredible songs on them (a couple are even Entwistle's). But none of them are consistent like Empty Glass. I just think it's... interesting, how everything up through By Numbers is so easily listenable clear through, and the stuff after is spotty. I suppose the easy answer is that Keith stopped being a vibrant studio presence even before he died? I dunno.

Lol, ok then. I'll believe you, thousands wouldn't ;) Must dash, work calls but I'm looking on the bright side. Only another 30 years to go before I can retire!

I haven't. I was on his site only yesterday and there was nothing about a new solo album there. Are you sure you haven't dreamt it? Done a quick search and can't find any leaked song either

I'm surprised at how long it's taking me to really get into this album in a big way to be honest. I saw 3000 Days, Preparation for Meltdown and Wake up the Dead performed live when they supported Riverside last November and I quite blown away. Even one of my friends who was with me who doesn't like the band at all was impressed. But 6 months down the line in studio form they haven't quite had the same effect I'm afraid. Have you got Anesthetize yet?

Twice, with t-shirts. At present I think it's good but I still prefer Tightly Unwound. I got the New Anathema album around the same time and that's been played much more :)

Hmmm, sorry mate but that's just not my cup of tea. I had an inkling I wouldn't enjoy it, I've heard the bass communion vx muslimgauze stuff in the past and it did nothing for me I'm afraid. Ta for the link though, does no harm to try :)

Massive Attack have a massive 40 plays on my profile, and I do own Mezzanine on CD. I love Teardrop, but the rest I'm not hooked on

And Nine Inch Nails. I still haven't forgiven that one. The mental scars run deep
