Thanks man, dunno if I did it on purpose but the 4/4 is what makes it feel more catchy and pop-ish and thus a little bit different to all the math-tech stuff out there :)

Cool. I'm in Bergen. And I like lots of things. Currently I like taking photos and listening to music from the Donnie Darko soundtrack. I'm from Ramsey but I only tell you that cause I am tipsy and trust too easily. Hahaha.

Hey, saw you commented on Prevent Falls' page. Just a heads up that Jeff from Prevent Falls has a new band together called The New Self Defense. You can download their EP for free at www.thenewselfdefense.com. They also have a facebook page (www.facebook.com/thenewselfdefense) and have a new EP coming out in February 2012.

I was trolling/foolin around with that comment on the Admiral Angry page, yes they're heavy/violent/whatever, but those lame vocals on Buster makes it sound like a joke to me! Albania is better though. I think stuff like "The More Things Change" by Machine Head and bands like Ektomorf, Skinlab and even some old Korn are heavier and angrier tha Admiral (not so) Angry.

Well then, howdy neighborfriend! I always think it's worth an ask, just in case I've been found by the real world.

also i couldn't help but noticing The Appleseed Cast and Old Canes in your charts. My coworker Marc was the bassist for Appleseed for eight years and my other co-worker, Taylor is currently in the Old Canes (small world?). The Cast is also playing a new years show in town and i'm all excited-like.

i would recommend starting with his newest album, Bromst, which i think might be his masterpiece. Spiderman of the Rings is also an incredible album, and is more nostalgic to me (although i didn't really like it upon first listen.) I feel that Bromst is a little more accessible and a good place to start. Overall i love those two albums equally. His earlier stuff is crazy shit but still pretty good (Silly Hat vs. Egale Hat keeps me rather entertained)... i hope that helps... And Django is incredible... i would recommend seeing the movie Sweet and Lowdown if you haven't already. It's about a jazz guitarist who idolizes Django.

Hey, I just noticed you like Franki Vali and the Four Seasons. I saw them as the final act of a show that was fronted by the Jefferson Airplane if you can believe it. But, that's how top 40 was done back then. I also like Lady Gaga. Got to stay current, you know!

Hey, in response, I started playing trumpet when I was eleven. Seriously, though, I saw Hendrix twice in '79 & '71. I saw a lot of groups including the Moving Sidewalks aka ZZTop at a club called Love Street Light Circus in Houston, Tx. They had rows of mats with headboards on the floor. You could come in on acid and lay down and groove to the music. Check out a pix on the internet. I've seen almost anybody that was anybody including Nirvana. I probably mentioned them already. I grew up in the sixties and college from '67 to '72 and music was a big part of our culture. Pink Floyd, etc. Crazy times. I love replaying a lot of it in my memories. Went to a three day concert outside Dallas, Tx six weeks after Woodstock with a lot of the same people. Unfortunately, I got so fucked up[ on acid I only lasted two days. It was pretty cool, though. Saw Janis at a tea house in houston, Tx in the mid-sixties.that was cool. That was the beatnik era. So you can see I am ancient.

Thank you. Honestly, I've made no claims as to what I've done or am. When I comment on an artist, it is my opinion of an artist. I do not judge others with that, You can like what I detest. Tastes are tastes. I appreciate the attention though.

So... Where are the Last.fm Recommendations for music that is different from what you are already listening to? How about a Taste of something different recommendation? I want to listen to new things that I wouldn't think of listening and wouldn't know how to find or maybe even what to call it.

Man, you are all over the place. That's great. I don't know where you came up with Frank Zappa but does that include the Mothers of Invention? Also, check out Poison Idea. They were Kurt Cobain;s idols from Portland, Oregon. If you look under Tom Roberts in Google, click the N.Y. Times link for an article on Tom's death. He was my roommate for ten years. The day he died, Turbo Negro called all the way from Scandinavia that night to ask me where to send flowers. I don't know how the news got there that quickly but, wow. The band toured the world and Tom was picked by Spin as in the top ten in rhythm guitarists one year if I am not mistaken. Nirvana picked them to open for them at Portland's No on Nine concert. That was an anti-gay initiative that was up for a vote in Portland. But, we aren't all fascists. Friend, later.
