rip keef man, that one hit hard. i wish i wouldve taken the opportunity 10 years ago to see them but oh well, im just glad liam is still up to making some funky beats. and yeah true about finnish bands, but the downside is that the local-ish bands are almost all we get lol. like if you look at at any given festival lineup the majority there are the same names that perform in every finnish venue. and moonsorrow.. i love them to death but their gig scheduling is fucking ass for a band that size. even here they might do a "tour" (4 shows) every 5 years and then disappear again. when youre at soulcrusher please do yourself a favour and go check zeal&ardor, mizmor and dödsrit. havent seen the latter 2 yet but from the footage ive seen its hard to imagine that they wouldnt be crushing live. forgot about samhain but looking at the lineup i gotta agree with you, they take the upper hand for now. wish i could go man.

sounds great dude, the lineup on graspop seems to be on point year after year! it is one of those fests i def need to visit one year along with soulcrusher. my plans for now are quite open as im way too broke to attend my usual 2-3 fests a summer, but im glad ive put enough money aside in the past to still attend hellfest for the 2nd time. for the shows there i think ill go see alot of the old school bands (immolation, suffocation, dismember, nile, emperor, sodom) for the first time with a healthy dose of the newer bands (wormrot, nakkeknaekker, wiegedood, brutus, eternal champion) too. ironically tho the one im dying to experience the most is the prodigy, been waiting for that moment since i was like 12. besides festivals i hope i can go to the alcest gig in september celebrating the new album.

Morbius is a good recommendation. Check out their album The Shades Below. Amazing album. Morta Skuld is another good one. Dying Remains is a good album to start off with. Sadistic Force is also good, listening to them now. Check out their Pain, Sex, and Torture EP.

had not heard of "weald & woe" but one spin of the new album was enough to make me a fan! i love the obsequiae-esque soaring guitars and vocals, prime melodic bm. reminds me alot of a bunch of medieval bm bands too, véhémence, darkenhöld, suhnopfer and heltekvad to name a few if you havent checked em already!

cheers for plugging the idea of a "seen live" spreadsheet into my brain. my part autistic part engineer brain loves organising various data onto spreadsheets and i have no idea how dating shows and bands ive seen live never occurred to me. anyway, any interesting music finds youve done as of late?

I'm definitely omnivorous if we talk about music, I'm can listen to absolutely everything for exception artists from russia who supports war, but fortunately some amount of these fucking people like they do is very little.

for me it's most important that artist doesn't support russia, and everything else are doesn't matter at all

Awesome Kurt Cobain avatar! Miss that guy! What an amazing musician he was. I sometimes wonder what the fourth Nirvana album would have been like. There's that final You Know You're Right from 1994 and maybe it the fourth might have had that sound from that song? We'll never know.

Ah awesome! It was the only Nirvana album I had for a few years, which I think was from 1994-1997. Then at some point in 1997, I got Nevermind on CD and other albums as time went by. In Utero is my favorite Nirvana album ever. It makes me wonder what a fourth album would have been like. We only know with the song You Know You're Right, which was recorded in 1994. I know it bootlegged for years and then it got an official release on the self-titled compilation album.

Good to see MTV Unplugged in New York by Nirvana is in your top albums from the last 30 days. That was my first Nirvana album. I owned that on cassette tape. I lost the tape years ago (maybe not, I saved a bunch of cassette tapes). I know I own it digitally. One of the best live albums! Oh, do you know Group 1850 (aka Groep 1850)? Dutch psychedelic rock. Quite good, check them out one day.

Ah that's awesome that you know the vocalist irl. You know who else is good from your country? Excavation. Old school death metal band that only had a two demos and one EP. I only have the first demo and EP. Gravemouth is the first demo and the EP is called Psychotic Possession. Their 2nd demo is "Promo-Tape", a year after that they became known as Beyond and then only released a demo. They split-up at an unknown period of time. I recommend Excavation.

Nevermind, I noticed you did scrobble the black metal band Doodswens. Cool that you have that as your username. Named after the band or you thought "death wish" in Dutch was an awesome username & you didn't know about the band? Oh, I found this one band called Gutspack from Brazil. They only released two demos and you may download them for free since they got Name Your Price. https://gutspack9.bandcamp.com/

yo man.
