I really should listen to more Australian bands haha... Vomitor is fucking sick! Really raw black thrash that I reckon you'd totally dig! Of course there's Destroyer 666, Bestial Warlust and Sadistik Exekution. There's also this one man band called Striborg that does a very raw form of Depressive Suicidal Black Metal. There's of course Disembowelment which is a short lived death-doom band. They only released one album, Transcendence Into the Peripheral, but that's one of my favourite doom metal albums ever. There's more, but that's just some bands off the top of my head. Oh, have you heard of AC/DC before? :P

Hey man, thankls a whole lot for your kind words about Razorwyre. We're glad to have so many rad fans in Europe. You have excellent charts by the way, and yes, I'm glad to hear the comparison to Agent Steel - very flattering.

Oh I don't even have to say 'good for you' (or actually I'm just too jealous to say it :D), 3 amazing bands that I haven't seen so far! Have a good time and go home with your neck broken :D

Well, yeah, we're members of the EU but our government do many things differently than the others, so that plenty of countries hate us and we have a lot of economic, social and health problems. But tourists usually love Budapest and that's great :) There was an exchange program a month ago in my school and I hosted a Polish guy, the whole Polish delegation adored the city, they said how beautiful it is like 10 times a day :D Do you study or work something?

Then good for you again :) I have a boyfriend too, we're together since November, we've met on a Kreator concert :D I live in the capital city, Budapest. I love it because it's beautiful but there are a lot of disadvantages, just like in our country itself. And where do you live in Belgium?

Yeah, I'm in love with German thrash and I know there are lots of amazing concerts and festivals, so it would be great to live there, of course not just because of this :) Some of my friends went to Keep it True in April, lucky bastards! :D I don't know exactly which city I want to go yet, I'm thinking about Munich, Berlin and Bonn. And thanks, I'm glad you think that because I have only been learning it for a few years. By the way, do you want to stay in Belgium?

Good for you :) No, unfortunately we don't have too many good concerts, this is one of the reasons why I want to go to Germany after high school. And yeah, Hungarian language can be a bit weird for foreign people because it's not similar to any other languages. I mean, people say that Finnish and Hungarian are similar, but this isn't true anymore, we are from the same 'language family' but we separated a loong time ago and we don't understand shit from the Finnish language, our basic words aren't even similar :D

Okay so I checked out the bands you recommended, and I have to say that all of them are amazing! I particularly liked Gae Bolga, when I started to listen to Violent Metalstorm, I thought it's an album from the 80's :) The other heavy/speed/thrash bands were also pretty good, and though I'm not always in the mood for brutal death, I really liked Aborted too. Thanks for the recommendations, I'm sure I will listen to them more!

You can try early Moby Dick, Kalapács, Omen, early Ossian and early Pokolgép too, they are quite famous, though I don't like them as much as the most people here. And what about Belgium? I know the band Cyclone, Brutal Destruction is an amazing thrash album from them, but are there any good metal bands apart from this? :) (I'm sorry because my shouts are too long :D)

Well, unfortunately our metal community isn't too big and our most famous metal (?) bands aren't 'metally' enough for me :D We only have a few decent bands here. I think the most famous among them is the black metal band Tormentor, you may have heard about them. We also have the amazing new school thrash band Mörbid Carnage, they aren't so famous but I really really like them, and there is another new school thrash band, Concrete, it's worth a listen too. A thrash band of one of my friends is called Fanatic Attack, I like them too because they make real Teutonic scene thrash music and not that melodic symphonic cheesy stuff as plenty of (shitty) bands here :D

Well yesterday was the first time I gave them a proper listen. The stuff I listened to was good though, I'll definitely check out some more of their discography. At the moment I'm really into the more strange/unique old school death metal bands. So I guess some of Sadus' material would fall under that banner. I've been listening to lots of albums on YouTube though, so it's not on my profile. If you look on www.rateyourmusic.com and search for lists like "underrated old school death metal", and "Finnish old school death metal", there are heaps of cool bands to explore.

I listened to the new album on YouTube, I haven't picked it up yet though. It sounds pretty cool, I'll go back and listen to Celtic Frost, Mercyful Fate, and Venom to get ready for it. Not that I need an excuse to listen to those bands :P

I'm still working on the Australian bands thing, I'll just tell you the bands I already know that should be suited to your taste. But for now, check out Slaughter Lord (Black/Thrash, even Fenriz sights them as a big influence on black metal), Armoured Angel (started thrash metal, then progressed into death metal), and the death metal bands Disembowelment.

Heaps of cool stuff in your collection man. Haha I think I'll just get a job when I've recovered from my surgery (I can make time for it haha) because there's so much stuff on my wantlist. I don't think there are metal bars around here, but there's a TV show on a local network dedicated to Australian metal. They've been promoting bands for a small metal festival I'll be going to in a couple of months (actually found a show that isn't 18+ haha). I'm really looking forward to seeing Ouroboros, Portal, Eternal Rest, and The Dead (all Australian death metal bands). There are a bunch of other bands, most of them are groove metal bands similar Lamb of God or DevilDriver, which I'm not really into but it should still be good to mosh to :P I'm not quite sure what the general metalhead population is into here, there are heaps of metalcore fans though. I guess most of the metalheads would be into thrash and groove, because they seem to be the most popular in general.

Well I buy as much as I can (I pretty much spend all my money on music stuff haha). I think my metal collection is around 80+ CDs at the moment. But I have downloaded a fair bit, which I plan on either deleting or buying, it's just so hard to keep up with it all when I don't have a job :L (no time at the moment, school haha). I plan on also getting into vinyl collecting. I'll just start of with local fairs, picking up whatever I can find for cheap prices, then move onto the more valuable stuff. How about you?

Yeah man the new Darkthrone should be awesome, the song they released was killer. I'm also looking forward to the new Immolation, Gorguts, Atheist, and Cynic albums.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Gae Bolga, It's just something I have learnt from experience, I've listened to so much old school thrash that it gets stale quickly now. I've listened to Sadus a little bit on YouTube, but I should give them a better look. I don't really care about a technical or simplistic something is (sometimes being overly technical for the sake of it can hurt the music imo), as long as it sounds good to me. But they're definitely more original, and that's something that will help me enjoy their music for a lot longer.

I listening to them on YouTube at the moment. They sound pretty cool, I like their raw production along with the really old school thrash sound. I think a lot of bands that play this style overproduce their albums, and as a result they just don't sit well with me. I'm not against experimentation, but when you play this exact style I much prefer the raw production. It has lots of familiar riffs and drum beats, so I got into it fairly quickly. But because of this, I probably won't be able to listen to it very many times before it would get stale. So my first impression is that they are a cool band, they're good at what they're doing (raw, old school thrash), but I don't think I could go back to it very much.

I think it has something to do with the alcohol laws here. Whatever the reason is, it sucks :L I'd prefer to live in Europe, probably a country in Scandinavia. I've been getting into lots of bands from Scandinavia and I'd imagine they'd play shows there often.

Yeah there are a lot of ignorant people out there, making stupid statements about metal. But it's the same with most genres, they all cop unwarranted crap. I've been listening to pretty much anything recently. I've gotten into more different sub-genres of metal, some hip-hop, prog rock, jazz fusion, just whatever really. I think Hip-Hop is another genre that cops a lot of shit when there are good artists. All these popular rappers who have shitty music and just rap about their cars, house, paid out women, and how all that shit makes them better than other people really give it a bad name. I was surprised by the quality of some artists. I'm not saying everyone who doesn't like the 'real Hip-Hop' is ignorant, I just took a chance with it and liked it. Well there are a few concerts happening here, only problem is that they're 18+ haha. There's a Marduk show happening right this minute, and I'm just sitting here on the internet because it's age restricted.

Yeah, if you can call Fintel a "small town". Rather a one-horse-town :D I listened to the Cash performance, it's really funny how the people get crazy on his jokes :D They party hard! And Cashs voice still sounds a little like the older Cash. I like it!

Hooray! :D Yeah, Johnny Cash wrote a lot of awesome stuff. Unfortunately I often forget him. But I remember "The Man Comes Around" and "I Wont Back Down". Great, great! And regarding to my place of residence: I live directly between Bremen and Hamburg. Both great towns 8-)

Hey man I'm doing fine. Hope you're doing the same :-) Just looked up Biberach on Googlemaps, it's about 700km away from here! How did you like it there? Quite snowy at the moment.... and hey - I see you're enjoying the Sunday with Dire Straits too :-)
