that's a great story. Кино is not really right up my alley, though i can't deny their impact. I listen to them occasionally. I think you check out Аукцыон (e.g. Птица LP) and their frontman Леонид Фёдоров (e.g. Лиловый день LP, but it's quite lo-fi). I deeply cherish Земфира and her music, especially the albums that were released before 2013. On Last.fm you can find her under obsolete alias Zемфира (she doesn't use that title since 2005). Браво is the most popular soviet/russian rock'n'roll band they're pretty cool, especially early formation with Жанна Агузарова as lead singer. Аквариум were quite influential as well, they had great connection with Кино, but I don't listen to them personally. You may also check out Наутилус Помпилиус and Альянс. As for me, I'm a huge Siberian Punk fan. Егор Летов is different, true genius. His band was called Гражданская оборона. But sometimes i like Чёрный Лукич more, his lyrics and sound are so mellow, Летов sometimes lack it.

oh, and one of my most favorite bands of all time - Пилоты в дыму. Alternative from early 00s. I bet no one in Russia knows them so i'm telling you real secret here. Their Семь месяцев LP is really nice to listen to, the vibe is unparalleled, Also I see that you like hardore, you may then try Машнинбэнд. Now I'm over i think

Your compatibility with GtzGold is Super. You both listen to David Bowie, The Clash and The Beatles. your music taste is absolutely phenomenal and i love all 3 of those artists! Been meaning to get into Fugazi too, any recommendations?

Thanks friend, Fugazi is absolute awesome, one of those rare bands where all their discography is pure musical awesomeness. I'd say start with 13 songs, then depending if you enjoyed the straight punk aspects of it, check out repeater and steady diet of nothing. If you preferred the noise parts then try red medicine. If you want something a bit more towards indie rock go with end hits and the argument. Do enjoy getting into Fugazi, you won't regret it :)
