Well, finally I'm listening to That Joe Payne now...his music will not “ruin your life”. ;-) There we have some great songs although I'd wish there would be a pit more bombast in some songs.

Can someone please kick into the ass of one of that sucking last.fm guys? I'm listening to "The Oneira" which is always redirecting to "Oneira". I simply can't write a wiki for "The Oneira" due to unexpected errors of that fucking new last.fm site!!! I simply hate these guys each time I visit that trashy site. Do your job and get your issues done...or bring back the old last.fm which works!

Bloody Christmas to last-fucking-fm!!! As it seems to be mission impossible for them to divide artists with different names (like "Chayan" redirected to "Chayanne" or "Schubert" to "Franz Schubert") and several other issues they can't get resolved since years now and will not bring back the old last.fm that WORKED I'm sick and tired of that shit happening here. So I take the decision to leave this site soon. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my friends and followers here...bye!

Hello from the country where music creator Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179) was born, Aza, it's amazing to know your scrobble legacy is >6 years :-) ... What do you think about lastfm currently, and what did you await back when you joined the "scrobble gang"? ... Wishing you all the lovely music in reaching your forthcoming **105k scrobbles milestone** ... How I found you by the way? ... lastfm shows you at #3 position in this weekly "Discovery Leaderboard" stats: last DOT fm/user/aldrignedigen/listening-report/week ...AND as #10 in the "Scrobble Leaderboard" charts! ... I'm only 1x in there ... It's nice to meet you

Hi Mari, got it and it's a pretty good album of that new supergroup. Unfortunately I'm not able to scrobble the album to last.fm as I face troubles with scrobbling, tagging and uploading images as many others. I understand Chris and others who already left this mess happening here...sad to say.

Well, I've never had any problems with any bands going pop, that's okay, but when you do that, it is a risk, and you should produce a very high-quality material to compensate for this drastic change of sound. As for Muse, their previous album was poppy, but fairly listenable, tho I didnt like it, whereas this new one is absolute low quality shite. I don't think I'll ever return to it in the future

Hi K-H, are you having trouble with scrobbling? I either get lots of multiple scrobbles for the same track or tracks aren't scrobbled. The result is highly inaccurate scrobbling. I keep trying different Apps but they all do the same. If last.fm doesn't scrobble properly then why bother with it. I am seriously considering dumping my account and using my streaming site instead. So don't be surprised if my account disappears all of a sudden. It's been fun for the last 10 years but no more.

Hi Chris, would be sad to see you leave but you're right...the fun factor isn't here anymore. That's why I'm no longer very active since then. But no, no big problems with scrobbling except of the same old issues here ever since. The only thing I've mentioned is that some albums I'd like to scrobble have title lengh 0:00 seconds in the mp3 files. Don't know why this happens but this is no fault of last.fm at all.

I think that last.fm and the developers of the desktop Apps are neglecting that platform because so many people scrobble from other devices now. Scrobbling from my mobile phone is fine but from my desktop when I am working is useless. This indicates that the investment is going into portable devices. I rarely scrobble from my mobile phone but am rethinking my listening habits. I've cancelled my subscription as a first step but will keep the account open for the moment until I decide what I want to do.

Well, that was always Greek to me. The new last.fm became a file storage or statistics site as almost all funktions to interact were put in the rear. Anyway, we still can exchange some shouts..."Story Tellers part two" by Tiger Moth Tales is available if you like. And Chris, if you really quit and want to stay in touch please leave your private e-mail address in a private message. kind regards

Many thanks K-H. I have disabled all scrobbling now because streaming via my mobile phone also drops after a while and no more scrobbles are written. I shall not delete my account because the one remaining useful function last.fm gives you is being able to see who else listens to a band and how similar their taste in music is to your own based on 10 years of my listening habits. I shall therefore be looking at last.fm occasionally.

Hi, Saw you recommending Echoes of Giants on, I think Chris's page and a couple of others have mentioned them. Glad you all did as the best totally new discovery for me in a while. A bit of soft rock in there coupled with some Neo-prog.

Thanks, that's why I continue with recommendations as we can't know every single new release or unknown bands. Just one more to give a try...a band called "No Nation" with their rock opera entitled "Illumine" which was released back in 2007. Maybe you like this one too...have a listen here: http://www.nonationmusic.com/samples2.htm

Hi K-H, How are you? Mari (NdWalker has recommended "Dissociative Identity Disorder" by DID to me. You can check out the album on Bandcamp (I ended up buying it because I wanted more than the allowed two plays). The band members are new to me but from this material are clearly accomplished and are supported by a remarkable array of quest vocalists. I really enjoyed it.

Better late than never...many thanks for flaggin' up...outstanding concept album. And one thing is very exciting to me, the appearance of Oliver Philipps on guest vocals...maybe there's still hope that his band "Everon" will release another album somewhen.

Happy New Year to you too!! Well, after "Quiet Stroms" it's a fresh sounding pure prog rock album that is still typical (neo) progressive rock as I appreciate. Already saved in my favourite albums folder.

Good to hear, albums with a neo prog edge still tend to be the ones I appreciate most. I'm currently listening to Echo Us which I think was one of your recommendations I'm only now catching up with, and must say enjoying.

Cheers for the Guy Hatton recommendation K-H. I will check out the album. I am sure you must know the band but I can't see them in your library so I shall recommend Siena Root's latest, A Dream Of Lasting Peace. This is 70s style bluesey rock. You might also try We Are Them from Different Realities - lovely song.

To be honest, never heard of them before...but their music is very good...very retro. And a wee bit stoner in between. Many thanks for flaggin' up. Have to give their back catalogue a try.
