Also for the anthology version: the albatross, how did it end, I hate it here, I look in people’s windows, Cassandra, Peter, the prophecy, the bolter, Robin, the manuscript. Are also my favorites for now and probably people who love piano or singer-songwriter vibes.

thats understandable, i personally have been obsessed😭like ik this dude wrote like all the arrangements on is this it but man is he a powerhouse in his solo stuff, like tame impala before tame impala, it also helps that he has like one of if not my favorite songwriting styles, songs like Out in the Blue and Tourist just resonate with me so much on a personal level (though I'm not sure how much of a good thing that is with the former) :)

woke up early in the morning from my sleep, I roll over and squint my eyes and rub them gently, I then look at the clock that is on the nightstand inside od my bedroom that I'm inside of right now. I notice it is 5:53AM. I pull my blanket off of myself and then I stand with my legs out of my bed that I was just now in and proceeded to get out of. on my way to take my second step with my feet I then felt a sharp gouging pain inside of my left calf, this pain was alerted to me with the nerves inside of my leg that I felt the pain inside of. I sit back down and try to endure the pain that I was feeling inside of my leg on my body. I reached for my water bottle that was sitting on my nightstand in my room next to my bed that was put together by me a couple years ago whenever I bought it. I open the bottle and take a big swig of the water that was in the bottle that I just grabbed off the nightstand that it was sitting on a few seconds ago in time. then I got a snack and went back to bed.

have u ever smoked pot????? well I did one time. I was on the bus a while ago and some bitch had a cart. she offered me a hit and I did what anybody would do and I ripped that shit 4 times. I felt fine for about 10 seconds and then I seen the goddamn sun rays change color. I looked up at the front of the bus and shit got wobbly. we took a turn and I felt the feeling in my body completely vanish I was listening to some black flag and that shit scared the FUCK outta me so I ripped them out. after we took this we went across a tiny bridge and I shit you not I felt like I was seeing the bus move from a Birredseye view. that shit was crazy. I was scared shitless and once I got home I passed the fuck out. when u woke up I found a . unch of stuff misplaced and randomly across my room. I went to sleep that night and woke up the next morning still high. I threw up allllll over my white carpet. it was horrendous and I ruined it

Hello, It’s pretty chaotic but I like it, I think if you can vibe with math rock then their music would be easy to listen to. Oh by the way I listen to some of Daughter and they sound beautiful like the feminine version of oasis. A lot of their songs made want to cry. But I haven’t listen to all of their discography yet to completely say that’s how all their music is but I’ll get there. But either their music is great. Have you listen to their new single party? If so what do you think of it?

Yeah, Alvvays are a great band, I've been listening to them on and off since 2016 but only last year properly got into them because Blue Rev has overshadowed most of the other records that came out in 2022, so I kind of re-discovered the band. Thank you, I'm pretty ok, the only thing is my back hurts for some reason lol, like a pulled muscle idk. Trying to figure out why. And how have you been?
Actions
-
Lakewhisper
Just from listening to a few of their songs and agree that Alvvays is a great band. Oh, I heard about Blue Rev being liked a lot last year. But I guess, that's just people recently getting into them and the hype is high with indie music. Of course anytime and if it is pulled muscle, massage and warm water should help relax it. I'm okay just dealing with the usual.

"Real Emo" only consists of the dc Emotional Hardcore scene and the late 90's Screamo scene. What is known by "Midwest Emo" is nothing but Alternative Rock with questionable real emo influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Chemical Romance are not real emo, while saying that Sunny Day Real Estate is, I can't help not to cringe because they are just as fake emo as My Chemical Romance (plus the pretentiousness). Real emo sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat HATEFUL. Fake emo is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. Some examples of REAL EMO are Pg 99, Rites of Spring, Cap n Jazz (the only real emo band from the midwest scene) and Loma Prieta. Some examples of FAKE EMO are American Football, My Chemical Romance and Mineral EMO BELONGS TO HARDCORE NOT TO INDIE, POP PUNK, ALT ROCK OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE

Ah yes thank you for reminding, I just watched it was pretty good, The master in this era was okay, his plan was effective just from how passive everyone with the traps he planned, which is not too bad. I haven't really seen much of old doctor who but I know that Tegan is from 4th doctor's era and Ace is from the 5th's era, and it was nice to see them. I love how only now they decided to have a companion's support group, I wish they did that sooner! Oh and the ending makes sense since David will be in the special next year. So yeah it was not bad the first half but after that it was good just from how they wrapped everything, Jodie did alright on her regeneration and how her moments with companions before. What did you think?
Actions
-
Dutrovzki
Lowkey loved it a lot. I wasn't the biggest fan of Jodie in her first season, but during her 2nd one and Flux as well I learned how to love her as The Doctor. Also thought that this special was the first time I genuinely felt proud of her being in the role of The Doctor, since she had a brilliant acting performance in it, it was a bit emotional for me ngl since I was craving SO BAD for some real Doctor Who moment to come and it did, specially when we thing that they even brought the show's first ever companion to show up in the Support Group too, loved the Ian Chesterton cameo. Am really excited now to see David back and Ncuti in the sequence

Now that you talked about it, I remembered that he also expressed this in "One Point Perspective". I guess not having "Big Ideas" must be a heavy topic for Alex, and I actually feel for him if that's the case, because I think that new material is absolutely incredible. Maybe he measure it by popularity? Despite the first two albums having some similarities, I really don't feel like they ever did the same LP over and over, each album has very different color pallete. So maybe they just have to accept that the new sound is part of the range.
Actions
-
Lakewhisper
Yeah but eventually he gets through finding ideas for the whole concept through help with the band and others is my guess from how they handled the car era. Like it seems his ideas are usually thought out one by one than just one huge thing that everyone will love which is still good since he has time to go over it and complete it in a precise way. I think he knows it’s great but just that people won’t think the same because of how they reacted during the tbh+c era like he doesn’t care about popularity but probably apart of him wants to others to understand what kind of music he is making even if he will make whatever music he wants than only rely on the people’s opinion. I don’t know for sure but that’s my guess for now. Like I think he and the band go over all the factors that will get people to listen to their music without really that much overhype like other artists have done. I think they accepted it overtime just from how much work they put into everything after making the album

That is a good guess and it does makes sense just from how Alex’s pattern of making new songs and projects, he tries to develop his sound differently over time but sticks with some parts that he is used to or recognized but not really going back to his past garage rock songs to make new ones. TBH+C I’d such a funny album to me because it is a great one but if I don’t listen to it more often I mix up some of the songs if I only listen to the music than lyrics just from the whole album stick to it’s jazz sound with a lot of it songs but you are right, there are so many details in the melodies and lyrics that you missed if you are not patient, like from how he changes the key in she looks like fun and sings key changes when that happens. Oh I thought Body Paint was similar to one point perspective or star treatment just from how the guitar chords and piano was in the songs. And it also gave me Bowie vibes more than mirrorball.

Body paint is already with us and it's great. The clip follows the mirrorball aesthetic but with a more cinematic theme. I read a comment from a fan saying that , body paint in a certain parallel, could be Alex talking about himself "So you don't let the Sun catch you crying", this excerpt could be expressing his disappearance but not completely disappeared and that the song portrays a person who hides his true feelings through superficiality and futility. "There's still a trace of body paint on your legs and on your arms and on your face" I believe that this can be interpreted, following our line of thought, about a love that is lukewarm and that they weren't together (a breakup) but that there is still remnants of an unresolved relationship. I believe there could be two characters here (or two versions of himself at different stages), even if it's not very clear, he could be making certain mentions of himself and the other person. And you, what do you think?
