Oo, I've heard the Black Forest area is beautiful. That's where I would love to visit, for sure. When I stopped in Germany it was on the way to, let's see... Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, and Sicily. And then the UK on the way back. Quite the trip, but yeah, no time for Germany, unfortunately. You mentioned living in the UK, did you study there? Yes, touring with Maynard must be... interesting, haha. Love him, though. I just saw A Perfect Circle the other night and he is still quite the performer! Haven't heard of Mother's Cake. I will give them a listen, thanks!

Yes, after having lived and still living in other areas, I learned to appreciate it. / Sounds like pretty big trip. Interesting that you travelled those Eastern European countries. I have the feeling that people do usually not mention those on their (first) trip to Europe, however, I'm sure they are underestimated... I have to admit that I haven't been there yet (apart from Italy... quite often, because it's pretty close). / No, I didn't study there; would have been way too expensive as we have quite affordable tuition fees in Germany compared to the UK. I went there after my master's. I had the desire to experience something new and just see how it is to live in another country. So I applied for a graduate scholarship. / You mentioned that you moved to Oregon, because you wanted to have more space, but why specifically that area? Did you already know people there? Was it the job? / Great that you saw APC! Did they play songs from their upcoming album? / Any other concerts coming up?

Yes, Croatia in particular was beautiful. A less expensive way to enjoy the Mediterranean, for sure, and probably less tourists. What did you get your Master's in? Did you learn english in school or self-taught? This area of Oregon because of the beauty of the Cascade mountains--every day I take the dog out on forest trails and can't believe I live somewhere so beautiful. Although it does get a little grey and cold this time of year. Didn't know anyone here, just moved and made friends once I got here. And I still keep in touch with friends via Skype. Let's see, shows... Queens of the Stone Age is coming in January. And YOB, of course! Did you listen to them? I listened to a bit of that Mother's Cake album you recommended. They seem very talented! I need to listen to some more. Do you get to see many concerts in your area?

I have the feeling that Croatia is getting more and more popular for vacation (maybe because Game of Thrones, who knows^^) / I have a Master in Sociology with focus on diversity management. What are you doing? / Yes, I learned English in school like everyone else here (+2nd language French, but I haven't spoken it for over a decade...). Did you grow-up in the French- or English-speaking part of Canada? / Googled the Cascade mountains. They look amazing! The Black Forest looks tiny in comparison. lol. / Seems to the the perfect place for a dog. What breed is your dog? / So are you into winter sports then? I have to admit that I always prefered hiking over skiing. / I'm happy for you that it worked out to move to a completely foreign region. It worekd out for me in the UK too. Found great friends by going to concerts alone at first. / Yay, QOTSA, haven't seen them on their last EU tour, but sure they'll be awesome as always. What do you think about Villains? /

Yes, listened to YOB, they are really good. From the album you've send me,I'd say I prefer "Marrow". / Unfortunately, there are no bigger concerts coming up soon, only local bands. It's always quite a journey for me to get to bigger venues. I've seen Mastodon, Red Fang and Russian Circles at the end of November. Enjoyed it very much as always. Red Fang are from Portland, Oregon. Guess I do not have to ask if you know them ;)
