Agreed. And I like everything in all honesty, but that doesn't mean anything. Recently I've listened to music classified as post-rock, folk, sludge metal, cool jazz, noise rock, underground hip-hop, electronica, p-funk, gothic rock, romantic period classical etc. I give everything a chance and I believe there is quality in all genres. And I really like Pavement as a whole. I agree that Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain is where it's at, the song structures are just fantastic. I also like a lot of the b-sides on Slanted & Enchanted though, particularly the Peel Sessions. And Built To Spill are also great, though I only own their first album, Ultimate Alternative Wavers. Which albums of theirs do you own? And what other types of music do you like?

Same overall. My 1st step-dad's favorite band is Wilco so I've been lucky enough to listen to them since I was about 4. I would have to say my favorite albums are the "trilogy" of Summerteeth, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, and A Ghost Is Born as they seem to be their most experimental albums so they continually switch from being my favorite album. However, I really adore Being There given it's role as a double album and the first time they decide to branch out of the alt-country sound, even though they still retain a large portion of it. Sky Blue Sky I haven't listened enough to honestly to really judge it properly, but it's going up in the ranks the more I listen to it. As of now A.M. and Wilco (the album) switch between being the bottom two, but even then that isn't really that bad given that Wilco is a band far, far ahead of most other bands out there. Have you had the opportunity to see them live yet?
