Thank you!! Big ups for Vylet Pony and Coil being so high in your library! You can learn a lot from anybody's libraries, really (although I wish there were an easier/more accessible way to compare libraries outside of Discord bots). I'm a huge fan of Lamp and I feel you might enjoy their music. Their album For Lovers is stunningly good pop with lots of creative influences, jazz and bossa nova being a couple of them.

Thx for the follow, saw you on the TMBG shoutbox years ago. They were my first 'favourite band' when I was a youth, been almost a decade since I was into them, but we all start somewhere... :) As you're into them, you may also enjoy Super Furry Animals, they're a Welsh group who have a similar quirky vibe (they also sound sorta like Blur imo). Their 2001 album Rings Around The World is undoubtably their finest and the one I recommend, cheers ^^

Have you gotten into any trip hop (like Portishead or Massive Attack)? If you dug the Stereolab albums you've listened to, the band Cibo Matto is basically the halfway point between Stereolab and trip hop—their album Stereo Type A might be a great introduction for ya. Open Mike Eagle is an underappreciated rap artist I feel more people should hear, his album Brick Body Kids Still Daydream rules. I've also been listening to Natalia Lafourcade's new album De Todas Las Flores soooo much the past couple months. It's absolutely phenomenal, and I'd recommend it to just about anybody. Hope you enjoy! :D

Hi. You'll get there before you know it, no need to worry about that. Just don't forget to have fun along the way! Problem with having a huge music library is that i'm frequently forgeting names. One of the reasons I followed you was to remind me to listen to more Natalia Lafourcade. :D Plus you're clearly not afraid to stray off the beaten path, Yoshiko Sai, very nice. You've also got a handfull of artists I've never heard of! Hope you're doing well too.

This is my archival account, also my old account I never used - I wanted to import my older Spotify plays (of which there aren't many,) but I also didn't want to mess with my recent stats, so they're on this account for anybody who's curious about how stagnant my music taste was back in early-mid 2019.

That album's got some bangers! One of my friends introduced me to it while we were out on a drive; it works wonders as a vehicle experience. It got me more interested in future funk music in general, I'm gonna check out more music in the genre one of these days. You should totally check it out, it's great!

Yo, thanks for following! I'll return the favor, of course. The Crane Wife 1&2 is one of my favorite Decemberists tracks—and on that note, I haven't listened to that album in a while, so I may have to give it a spin at some point soon. I have yet to check out any of The Fiery Furnaces' material beyond EP, but I've heard many promising things about their music, so they're quite high up on my to-listen list. :P

I feel like you might enjoy some of these artists: Sidney Gish (twee/indie pop), Yvette Young (indie/acoustic rock, with math rock influence), Devo (new wave, art punk), The Mars Volta (progressive/experimental rock), Feist (indie/chamber pop). You should toss a few my way too!

Alright, thanks! I'll check these out soon as well! Also I wager I should probably suggest releases for each of those artists too, so I'll do that: Sidney Gish - No Dogs Allowed, Yvette Young - Acoustics EP 2, Devo - Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!, The Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium, Feist - The Reminder

Nice, you have attained 2 nice milestones: ">30k scrobbles" with over 1000 bands :-) ... How are you doing on your location of the globe right now? I assume you also stay at home more recently in these pandemia, same as us here in good ol' Germany ... Protect yourself and let us wash our hands frequently, and enjoy the music (and more favorite pastime) in the meantime, Talon

Hello Erkan, and thank you for checking in! The United States is all over the place, depending on where you look... My family has been holding up well because we live in a rather secluded region; we're used to spending most of our time at home. Expanding my music library has become a hobby of mine over the past few months, so 1k artists was an exciting milestone to reach. Maybe one day, I will reach 20k artists like you have... :) You take care too!

I am glad you are fine. It is also good to read positive things, not only the negative things from press told from the USA (e.g. what Trump does and says)... Yeah, lastfm is an ideal place for us music addicts, I am sure it will slowly increase. When I joined back then I even completely changed my music style! Since I discovered lots of great music here ! I am listening currently some jazz and later my fresh "Release Radar" (weekly playlist on spotify). What will you be playing music-wise for today?

I don't keep up with press much anymore (nor social media) because I feel that it causes too much stress for staying informed to be worth it. As for my music today, I'm listening to a long playlist of my favorite music for the time being, and I might listen to a couple albums in my backlog this evening. Even though I use Spotify, I don't really take advantage of playlists like Release Radar or Discover Weekly—though maybe I should at some point...
