Holy moly, it's been 40 million years, but I finally completed the 10-play cycle for the list you gave me in the previous shouts 😴. I enjoyed it, definitely had a strong chill vibe going on, which I'm not complaining about. Puro Animal deviated most from this generalization (Xuxa giving a strong Arca-type atmosphere). My favorite ended up being the Elite Gymnastics song, which I mistakenly didn't add to the list for a while due to an error but easily breezed past ten plays when I found it because it's so great. Thanks for sharing some more of your music. Hope your well this holiday season

Nice to hear. Looking back at it, it's a very odd selection. That Elite Gymnastics is probably my favorite out of those as well. If you're not tired of it, there is a very good CFCF remix called "Here in Heaven 4 and 5" you can probably find on YouTube. Cheers 🍃

https://www.last.fm/user/CosmicOrigin/playlists/12322147 Since last.fm reintroduced playlists, I've made it a home for all my last.user dealios. The link is where your songs are, if you're inclined to look. I took a listen to the remix, I really like this take on it. On the subject of Here in Heaven, not sure if I mentioned with each playlist play cycle, I listen to radios based on the playlist. There's a song that came up on your 2nd playlist that gave me strong Here in Heaven vibes, which is odd that it was on the radio because EG was not in the Spotify playlist since it's not available for me there. The song is Blood Moon by Nevrland, if you haven't listened to it, you might appreciate it.

if you recall, I created a playlist with some of your music that I stole from your library. I was wanted to revisit users again but this time with the user input. So if you have 6 songs you'd want to recommend I'm very much all ears.

I finally got around to my first listens of your second set collection. Instra:mental - Let's Talk and Lukas Nystrand Von Unge - In My Heart were the ones you personally recommended but added to that list, by my own janky ways, are Ssion - My Love Grows in the Dark and a untitled Muslimgauze track.

First, I'll address the unofficial one which is the song by Jennifer Lara. I liked it. A lot. It has a very unique feel to it. I was able to listen to it on spotify but I'm definitely adding her album to my collection sometime soon.

http://henrycsal.space/user.htm finally added you to the list. The page is a work in progress so it looks like a total dumpster fire. I did away with the writing aspect of it for two reasons 1. I suck at writing 2. Even though I would only write a few sentences (and added to the fact that I still suck at writing) I would torture myself with what to write, which would delay the progress of music discovery. In exchange for the written section, there's now the play count of all the songs from the process. Note: Love Talkin' I delayed for so long in purchasing and it literally came in the mail today after weeks of waiting to get it. Though I have listened to it 10 times via utube, I'll still give it an official ten plays throughout the following days.

I will give you a first play impression of the additional songs you gave me, along with my thoughts about them after the ten plays. Were you playing Galaga at the arcade bar? That is totally my game.

A few weeks ago, I don't know how it happened, I could not stop thinking about 50/50 clown. It was weird because I had not listened to the song since December, as my scrobble chart indicated. Anyways, the song got a hefty boost in plays that week since i listened to it quite a few times. True story

yeah that's pretty much my only gripe as well. would love a 6-8 minute version... and yeah sure‚ it'd be my pleasure‚ something that goes with the others or just a random pick?

2 songs! No rules or regulations. They can be anything you want, save for the songs I already have on the list. The song list is stored on a new location with the amount of plays I have for each song. I haven't updated it with your content so below this shout will be the songs I have from you, in case you need the reference.

ssssoooo the first two you mentioned will be included in the set. I don't know if I've ever explained how the last.fm user sets work out. Basically the songs I take from the user will be listened to at least 10 times, regardless of how I feel about the song. So even if I think a song is total garbo, which has happened a few times with some sets, i will listen to it at least ten times.

but I will definitely check out Jennifer Lara because it looks interesting. It's funny because the most recent user I've started with my sound list is entirely made of ska/reggae.

nice, curious to see what you think. i got really obsessed with both. and, yeah i do remember the methodology from reading the site you have the lists them on? and that jennifer lara track is cool. heard a dj playing it at one of those corny arcade bars in my city and i had to go over and ask what it was. its a record (studio one: women, i think) of 80s pop songs covered by dancehall/reggae/rocksteady artists. great stuff.

I would say Merry Go Round is stylistically similar to Love Talkin'. I think Love Talkin' softened me up to his sound because I was instantly captivated by Merry Go Round. I ordered the album it comes in, Melodies, the week I heard it. If you're intrigued enough here's a link to the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RRr52fL4BU . Mimi Likes 2 Dance was sailing smoothly to the number 1 position for this years top discoveries for me up until a few months ago. As of now, I would say it is in contention for somewhere in the top 3. I was finally able to get the album via discogs. It was a pretty penny but worth it.

Funny story. I was listening to a radio station today and heard structure and voice that sounded very familiar. I shazzamed it and lo and behold it was Tatsuro Yamashita. Merry Go Round was the name of the song. Good stuff

Hey thanks for the rec. It sounds great. Here's one back: Biosphere - patashnik. One of the best ambient/techno albums imo. Substrata is probably his best album. that's full on ambient tho.

hello, after a billion years of procrastinating I have finally finished your set in my blog. You can check it out if you like to. I very much thank you for Mimi Likes 2 Dance and 50/50 Clown. I really ended up enjoying those songs a lot. In fact, all the songs I ended up liking. I always like to address which one ends up being my least favorite and it ended up being Waiting Game. But to put that in better perspective it was kind of like choosing the worst of the best.

Hi! If you want to check your "seen live" tags, please paste this link into your browser (url adress) and change the "USERNAME" to your last.fm nick http://ws.audioscrobbler.com/2.0/?method=user.getpersonaltags&user=USERNAME&tag=seen+live&taggingtype=artist&limit=150&api_key=7bfac9b0b50959e9a029d04a181913f0 . Please note, "&limit=150" is a example of maximum number of your "seen live" tags. I you tagged as "seen live" more than 150, you can change this value (for example &limit=200). Enjoy!

Thanks, I just finished the journal for the previous users set and now I'm moving on to your set. I do have a question, "mimi likes 2 dance", it is by Merwyn Sanders. The only source for the song i was able to locate was on youtube, titled "merle - mimi likes 2 dance". Is this the same song?

Hello, I will be exploring your top artist from each time frame (week, month, 3 month, etc) and writing a short excerpt in my blog about them. I found you by way of Hototogisu. It's a method I have of finding artist from last.fm users I find to have interesting taste.

I saw Jex Thoth live supporting Agalloch. Their performance was so good that i immediately bought two of their CDs after that, though i'm kind of lazy to take them out of the shelf. On minimalism, i'm having my introduction with La Monte Young and Terry Riley. William Basinski's "Disintegration Loops" so far seems enjoyable too.
