I started with Detrimentalist in 2008 and i was surprised & impressed, so intense, so good. But when I heard his old works, especially Doll Doll Doll, I realized that I missed a lot of his really hardcore music. Aaron - epic win. I'm not sure what he would do something like Doll Doll Doll, Find Candace or something dark, but It would be cool, for sure.

only recently....there has another 'Wayne' been dropping by my profile, look what he did leave for me: "Unfortunately, Wayne, my name, carries the connotation of being associated with many deranged killers... http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x1261927 " ---but our compatibility wasn't on 'Super' though...(fortunately)

If you haven't listened to Carbon Based Lifeforms' new album I highly recommend that you do, it is close to being an ambient masterpiece.

Hello, I read your comment on the Pineapple Thief page (you were looking for a new prog band and found TPT). I can tell you, Porcupine Tree is even better imo. More layered and more variation and cuts deeper through the soul. I've been addicted for almost 2 years now. I discovered Pineapple Thief a couple of months later and found them really good too, but PT better :-) Try Deadwing or Fear Of A Blank Planet. Those are imo the best PTree albums. By the way, Steven Wilson from PTree gave Pineapple Thief their KScope record deal and often collaborates with Mike Portnoy and Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater and many other progrock artists.

hell O Wayne, i've read your comment in the "breaking and entering"-album (underworld)-shoutBox from may 09. seems to me, there are taggingProblems. i've found the album three times. my information is, it belongs to the gabriel yared-discography...however, nice to see, there are other guys who thought the same. cheers to the kingdom

My first Lips experience too. I have been dying to see them since Yoshimi came out and shot to the top of my desert island album shortlist (partly because if I were stranded on a desert island I'd appreciate its message of love and death), but they kept eluding me. Never again!

Thank you for the costume appreciation! It made the night even funner. Which, given the level of awesomeness it was starting from, meant that it was a pretty damn fantastic night overall.

If you're enjoying maudlin of the Well, I can't recommend their continuation Kayo Dot enough. It's very similar because Toby Driver composed for both bands but it seems to lean in a more avant-garde/experimental metal style rather than the comparatively straight forward progressive metal style that maudlin had.
