The US has always been my dream too, I hope I’ll get the chance to visit it soon! The 1st foreign culture and language that I discovered, back when there was no Internet at home and I was getting through my first book in English with a paper dictionary. The Chester evening was not a tribute gig, really just a meet up to talk about the band and how everyone grew up with it. Watched some vids and sang some songs together, such a sweet thing really, met a whole bunch of cool people through that. So you are getting ready for that 4 week trip, that’s absolutely awesome!! I’m sure it will bring many cool experiences and encounters, and new thoughts as well. It’s true that wherever you go, you take yourself with you, but when you explore new places, you change anyways, sometimes a little, sometimes more profoundly. So may you have a refreshed and upgraded mindset after the trip! I’ll be thrilled to hear something about it, whenever you have the time (2/2)

WOW, a trip to America sounds fantastic! I’m sure you’ll have the time of your life!! Are you going alone? With a friend or a bunch of friends? And Brazil too! Just remembered because it’s ‘last.fm’ and ‘Brazil’ together: there’s a married couple who met each other on this site 3 or 4 years ago, being from Brazil and Poland, half across the world really, and now they live in Brazil! Got an inbox message from the girl just a few months ago, said they were doing great. Come to think of it, last.fm was much more than a stats source once, people really talked and even fell in love! I was in France for 10 days and visited a few little towns and villages in Auvergne, Périgord and Bretagne. I’ve been to some major cities before, and this time really appreciated the lesser known places. ( 1/2, Yeslerr style :) )

Yeah, the new last.fm definitely lost a lot, including a large part of the community and their activity in shoutboxes etc. I understand the need to modernize but by the looks of it, the update wasn’t really developed by an active fan of the old site who would make sure all the beloved features stay or get better! 2017 wasn’t so great for me either, a lil’ bit back on track now, same as you! You’ve seen some great bands in between now and then, anyways. I am happy I got to see Linkin Park a few years ago. I know people who really regret not having saved enough money back then, or only being able to afford a far away seat. We had a really nice evening in the memory of Chester here in Minsk a year ago. It was good to be there with other people for whom it was important. I’m coming back from Europe right now, travelled around France mostly, a little road trip! Now back to work. Do you have anything special coming up this summer? Do you have to work?

Heeey man, right back at you, how is everything? I’m doing okay! I still visit my last.fm for stats and that’s mostly it. How is life where you are, how is your summer moving along? We’re in for a stormy rainy weekend over here, or that’s what they say! Cue sad playlists on Spotify. Oh, the LP concert I wrote to you about in the message below, 3 years ago, was actually the last large scale live act I’ve seen so far.. I still haven’t gotten into musical travelling that would let me see more bands. But I’ve already seen the 2 bands I love, so I’m not trying too hard for the rest :) and have seen Dylan Moran’s standup act - CHECK! End of bucket list in terms of live shows :) What about you? Your impressive list of who you’ve seen live must have grown even more over 3 years, but last.fm won’t let anyone post so many characters in the description field, will it? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeaaaah great, why not, book some more! that's a medicine you can't overdose on :D I'm also more fan of the old LP, so, not so excited about the current setlist... but they are still legends and it's going to be great! Oh I see, I did think that you might have travelled around! :) I would also love to, it's kind of a financial issue for me though. and it doesn't help that here in Belarus we need a visa to go absolutely anywhere even in Europe, so... all the fuss with documents and sometimes it costs twice as much as the ticket to the concert! o_O but I do hope I will see much more in the future, it's true that all live acts are great! From your list I particularly envy Billy Talent, Kings of Leon and The Gaslight Anthem! well obviously, the bands from my top 10 overall :)

hey watch out, you always have to set some time aside for music and concerts! or else you'll suffer from this awful disease called musical deprivation :P you are lucky to have so many gigs around! mostly what i've seen kind of doesn't overlap with yours: a-ha, Nickelback, Hollywood Undead and Rise Against. We've both seen Hurts though! And in two weeks I'm going to see Linkin Park, so we'll have that in common too :)
