Ahhh fair enough thanks anyway, guess i'll have to keep an eye out until it comes out. Couldn't see Field Of Birds in your library so here's something in return if you haven't heard it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sm6bQtSNM9o One of his best I think, but not so widely known, live KEXP version is awesome as well.

Admittedly, Conor's voice is an acquired taste. I'm in it for the chords & musicianship. I'm glad you're listening. I haven't found of alot of Thrills fans on last.fm.

I have a lot of interests, I have to say. I've always loved growth whether it is intellectually, emotionally, physically, economically, in lifestyle or whatever it might be - so self-improvement is definitely something I find interesting and that in itself and include both psychology and philosophy. But I also love sports, movies, music (obviously), I think nature and traveling is extremely fascinating as well. But then again, I find it hard to say "this is what I like and that is that" - I think there are lot of things in the world that I've ever tried that I'd love deeply. I guess variation is always needed to some extent, always try new things. In short, life is what I like and I always try to keep myself on the plus side of happiness. Do I succeed? Sometimes. Sometimes not. I still feel I haven't found my place in the world yet. And I'd probably have to see lots of part in it to even get a sense where I belong. Is it in Sweden? Maybe not. Time will tell where I end up.

I think there are a far greater number than we think that shares our feelings; that feel that they are more attracted to music than to people - which usually, I suppose, is the result of just not finding people that we are highly compatible with. The best medicine for that is probably just to meet more and more people, to seek oneself to more widespread environments and activities. The wider the range of people we meet - the greater the chance we'll find something we find worthwhile. We might hit and miss 19 of every 20 people we meet, but for every 20 people we'd then have found at least one we can start building a foundation on. It can be frustrating though when we don't feel like that. When you feel that you have people you socialize with - but one that really understands you and that you feel any deeper chemistry with. That always bugs me.

I hear what you're saying. That's the glory of music - their ability to effect us emotionally and inspire us, it can have a far greater influence on us than the 'entertainment value' alone. It's through Explosions in the sky I've become more and more into the post rock type of music which I find deeply emotional. It's not the kind of music I can listen to every day, I need to be in a particular state of mind. That's why the most played artists is not always one's favorite, because some artists and bands are just for everyday use, while others needs special occasions - but are nonetheless fabulous.

Is it the way I write that make me come off as a songwriter? I've never written songs, nor played any instrument - but I wouldn't say you're completely off target. I do have written a lot of different things (just not related to music) and I seem to be a naturally very creative person. Very perfectionistic. Very emotional. Very individualistic. The more I've thought about it recently, the more I realize that I probably SHOULD do something myself with music. I can't sing, but I feel - even though I don't have the experience yet - that I could be the kind of personality that could do something unique. In the end, the only thing matters is the kind of emotions you can transfer into your listeners - and with all the kinds of technology we have today, the possibilities seems endless. What about you, I take it as you wouldn't mind doing something music related either?
