Nice, you have attained the '>152k scrobbles' milestone ! ... How's it going on your location of the Earth currently? I guess you also avoid public crowds lately in these COVID-19 virus times, as we also here in good old Germany ... Stay safe, and enjoy the songs, and further favourite pastime in the meantime, Kevin

wow, just now noticed that I never followed you. Have done that now! How's it going? Been on a mad GbV-sprawl lately, especially Under the Bushed Under the Stars, but their mid-90s discography in general, so addictive! Can't believe I only occasionally listened to them in the past..

Heard the name Blue Mile several times but never gave them a chance. Will do now though! Any new suggestions or new music to keep an eye on?

I really like their albums too. But sadly, their singer Mark Hollis passed away at the end of February.

Ah, I see. Haven't checked the new Deerhunter yet but heard it's more pop-ish. Imo they peaked with Twilight at Carbon Lake. Saw Sean Nicholas Savage in your charts and thought it sounded interesting and worth checking out. I have been rediscovering some shoegaze stuff as well, and I can suggest checking out Swirlies. Decent discography, raw and weird. Also been enjoying the last two albums by Talk Talk while studiying for exams, I'd suggest these two as well, very relaxed and beautiful true post-rock.

Loving it! Human Performance is still my favorite but this is a close second. Seeing them live for the first time next week and I'm super excited.

They're great indeed! I'm currently rediscovering Dinosaur Jr. Never gave their new material a chance, but it's just as good as Bug or You're Living All Over Me.

Thank you! For me, it started in 1956 with Elvis. That was only white R & B with hip shaking. Between 1965 and 1969 were the Beatles and Rolling Stones really good (and there were the Kinks, Animals and Who). From "Highway 61" came Bob Dylan with new lyrics and sound. Ecstasy instead exegesis. Jimi Hendrix was one of them. Velvet Underground, Lou Reed and David Bowie transformed the rock into an art form. Important to me are people like Kevin Ayers, John Fahey or Jorma Kaukonen. Everyone is responsible for his own life, the love and the music to that.

And yes, to answer your question from a few weeks ago, Parquet Courts are fantastic. They're definitely one of the most impressive new bands I've heard in awhile. Plus, Light Up Gold is just drenched in the Fall, Slanted and Enchanted, Pink Flag, and their own sound. I'm interested to hear what they come up with on their future albums. Been on a real GBV and YLT kick since we last spoke. Peace dude

Wow, that was pretty impressive and powerful! Mmmmmmm let's try electronic indie alternative rap rock... that should do :) Seriously now, it's really nice you all managed to write these songs for an entire album. I cannot write songs that are worth listening to. Anyway, why did the band break up?
