Glad you're well and we're all good too thanks for asking. Yeah man, when the sun comes out it's pretty hectic down here, but in the plus side I felt like I was on holiday last weekend having lots on and seeing buds by the sea. So any recs of late? I've def rediscovered guitars so my recs for you are Moaning (post punk meets shoegaze) and Ovlov (90s sounding messy US indie rock). Your turn. ;)

Ovlov reminds me of Superchunk so I like it yo. The new Soda Lilies album might be up your street (like Dinosaur Jr / shoegaze perfect for summer), Pip Blom from Amsterdam (like Breeders). Love this too https://youtu.be/kPBuGT_6iwc

Nice one Kev, glad you like Pip Blom - they have a new EP out end of August. Where do you buy your downloads these day? Still use that subscription service or Bandcamp or maybe something else?

Ok so I'm somewhat late catching up on rec's - sorry 'bout dat :) Anyway, I listened to the alex calder and his slightly weak voice rubbed me a bit. But the Alex G is sounding really good - just what I needed! Not gotten to Yowler yet so if you can stand the suspense I'll get back to you on that one

Viva credit refresh day! Yeah i'm liking the absolutely free album, and yes, you're spot on! They played most tracks of the album, and it's a damn good listen, just lacks the intesity they had live. I'm pleased I picked it up though. The big question is, did you get all the mount eerie tracks!? Looking forward to Alex G, long live the sunday night green door store gigs!

Hi Kevin ! i'm ok, thanks. Maybe this http://www.lastfm.fr/music/Lee+Gamble/Kuang+EP is surely heavy and a good ep/way to discover the sound of this guy,if you don't know him,.Despite some droney & dancey elements :) I think it's very good electronic music.

Happy birthday old man, going to get ordering me some Mr Natty tongiht, oh yes! Sorry to hear you're not liking the Lone album, I think its amazing, such a joy of a listen. Wow, not too droney or too chilled. That's all the electronic music I listen too! Give Sd Laika a go, as its really brilliant. It's quite out there and droney but worth investing in, Millie & Andrea is great, Mondkopf is very droney but great, The Range Ep form this year is very very good, Luke Abbott new one is quite minimal but great to get lost in with headphones on, Go-qualia have an amazing track called We'est. Give the new Liars album a listen, as that has some banges on. Sorry man, most the stuff I listen to tends to be quite droney, I guess Lone is the exception at present. Last years Moderat album was great, Jon Hopkins was my AOTY, and The Field are always worth your time. I hope there is something in that old list that is up your street! x

yeah i got both discs.. Some great tunes on there too but I guess you could get your fill from disc 1 if you wanted, i just had creds to use. I guess the release schedule will be starting to slow down now. Been a great year for electronic music but I've struggled to find much indie rock that's been interesting....

Cool man, some good gigs coming up for sure. I'll try and convince the Ealing crew to come see Bleached, they are usually up for anything nowadays which is cool, especially Stu who's open to all sorts since his transformation from Hip Hop+OpIvy+Rancid stance to total psychobilly nut! I don't know anything of Veronica Falls though. btw if you're up town on Thursday 12th we have a spare ticket for Shannon and the Clams gratis ;)

New to me but really liking her new LP (of which I have on blue vinyl, natch) which is quite surprising as I wouldn't usually buy that type of more mellow/folky thing. She reminds me of Kim Deal so maybe I was subconsciously compelled to buy it! btw Sam got tickets for Pixies Hammersmith show in Nov but unsure if any spare. How did you find the new Kurt Vile?
