dandelion___
Poxa, cara, lamentável hahaha. Eu amo forte, o BE foi o álbum que primeiro me conquistou pra banda, inclusive.

Well, I know all the bands currently on your charts and really like some of them, so it's probably that haha. Sure, Seventh Wonder makes that sort of traditional and immediately recognizable progressive metal sound. I'm not too big on that lately, but they're great musicians and if you like the genre you'll probably enjoy them. Try the album Mercy Falls, it's usually a good start :)

Achei as músicas do Bart fracas demais, super genérico

biruntitis

Have you considered checking Ivar Bjørnson & Einar Selvik? More folk rock than just pure folk (specially Skuggsja), but some obviously similar vibes to Wardruna. I specially recommend "Huggsja", which is a lighter (not so rock-based) album, more Selvik-like than Bjornson-like. :) Have seen them live in Cracow recently, a really moving concert. Einar is such a lighthearted person!

I listened to Skuggsjá before, but it's been a while. I don't think I even tried the other one, not sure why this particular project didn't catch my attention from the start. I'll give it another try. Oh, do you live in Poland? It's a country I'm quite curious about, very interest music scene.

I also didn't give much attention to Skuggsjá (a few nice tracks, but didn't impress me overall). However Huggsjá is quite different, similar tone, but sounds more folkish than rockish (still combining textures of both though). Yes, I'm from Poland and I live in Cracow currently. :) Indeed, the polish music scene has much to offer (as many others do, in fact - we just usually don't know it :)).

Yeah, there's always something interesting to find everywhere if you're open enough to look for it. But polish art made a special impression on me through some musicians and a couple painters. I want to try some literature and see if I find anything I like, but I've been a very disorganized reader lately, hopefully someday. And I'm really enjoying Hugsjá, thank you for bringing it up :)

Btw if you're into "very polish" things, Percival is a very good folk band, creating and arranging slavic songs (some of them appear in the last witcher game). :) Oh, and they're named after a character from Sapkowski's books. :P

I read about those things too, he really didn't have it easy. Oh, I remember hearing that there was going to be a movie about him some years ago, but then forgot about it! Good to know it came out and it's good, I'll definitely watch it soon. Visiting Poland would be great, of course, hopefully I get to someday. Places related to Beksiński sure would be on my list of priorities. :) Any album you'd recommend by Percival? I've listened to a couple songs before, but never really explored their music.

You could start with the "Slava" trilogy - new arrangements of western, eastern and southern Slavs. Also "Oj Dido" containing their own compositions is a very good position (not good audio quality though).
