lessee, how about the total collapse of the music industry and the fact that they don't pick talent out of no where anymore? i have no idea; believe me i've tried.. i've sent it out everywhere it seems the only thing you can do is play shows when i'd rather be recording but even then no one comes unless you're opening for a well known act or have a magical promotion strategy

Just get 'Some People Have Real Problems' You Have Been Loved and Day too Soon are downbeat, I'd say Buttons was more upbeat I guess...

TOTALLY. Specially the metal bird song, and 'piphany rambler. Oh, fuck it, the whole album is 10/10, not a second I dislike, not a second when I'm less amused at they're genius music.

yes, you seriously need to. however their albums are VERY different from one another. Their first, Von, is an experimental-abient record, not their best. Agaetis Byrjun is considered their masterpiece, and hails from a pool of classic-style post rock (similar to GYBE), but more cheerful. ( ) is my favorite from them, a crescendo album that defines non-violin post rock. Takk... is more of a shoegaze, minimalist record, very cheerful and happy. Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust is not post rock, thugh it's just as good as the others. I recommend you start with Agaetis Byrjun, especially tracks "Vidrar Vel Til Loftárasa", "Ny Batteri" and "Starálfur".

Everyone please take 15 minutes to check out my new post-rock project, a lot of time and passion has gone into this and I want to share it with everyone. This is our first demo and it's up free for download and on-demand. Hope you like it and thanks! http://www.last.fm/music/An+Oceanfront+Architect/Encounters+in+a+Tyrannical+Fairytale+%28demo%29#

It would be a lot easier for you to find a torrent of it. It's basically got demo versions of LYSF that sound live, the song Moya, and one called Sunshine and Gasoline which is the only one exclusive to that release, as far as I know, and its only 5:27, pretty much just a choir of strings .
