Today is your 16th LASTFM ANNIVERSARY :-) ... Congrats to that, and to your 181k scrobbles ! ... Wouldn't you agree, how fast time passes by listening to glorious music ? ... What do you like best about lastfm now, and what did you like back when you joined the "scrobble gang"? ... btw: Here in Germany, some things are missing in the supermarkets lately, e.g. milk, noodles, rice, toilet papers... And at your place, J.P. ?

Back in the day I was convincing local bands in Japan to let me upload their stuff up here and writing long concert blogs here. I miss being able to access my journals...a lot. Right now, I still use Last.FM to scrobble out of habit, as a kind of diary. And on occasion I learn about similar artists. Here in Macau, no shortages, most restaurants and stores are open, no new corona cases - but still teaching online for the duration.

Agree, lastfm has lost important features since CBS bought them a few years ago :-( But the devs are still working, they have a forum where one can see this. Let's hope one day lastfm gets to where it was once again...Good to hear that at your place the situation is OKish. Here we opened slowly more stores (than the already open food stores). But the infection rate rose again, and then fell again, strangely. Today also schools will open for some classes. Let's see how it goes. I am still sceptical since there is no vaccine AND when there is one how long it takes to get it all, and not a few only... What's on your musical agenda for today? I will listen now "my mix of the week" on spotify

How have you been JP? This last month saw me falling head over heels for your constant おすすめ COALTAR OF THE DEEPERS. So many wasted years.

Wishing you a nice "2nd Sunday" ahead in 2019 from the biting-cold German side of Europe, J.P., time goes by fast... you are being here at lastfm for >14 years already :-) ... Welcome to the "oldtimers" club... When you reminisce now - how did your "musical exploration" expand over time? ... Wishing all the best for your forthcoming **177777 scrobbles, and 15600 artists scrobbled milestones** ... How I discovered you? ... lastfm shows you as #2 in this weekly "Scrobble Leaderboard" charts: last DOT fm/user/filzbaum/listening-report/week ... For another great year of music for both of us!

Hello again :-) Thanks, I'll have a look there... btw: I just passed by your yearly report from 2018 (A) and noticed, that you loved "only" 1 track (from the 4748 songs you scrobbled (B) ): what might be the reason for this? for example technical problems, or was no track to your liking? ... When you would love your tracks here, the music recommendations by lastfm will get much better for you: LAST dot FM/music ... e.g. in my case: I listen from spotify, but can not mark the tracks as loved there. So, I am forced always to come to lastfm to do that :-( ... That annoys me, quite much... That's a good question. Last year, I ended up listening to a lot more music on my iPhone via the Bandcamp app, and that doesn't track. I also might add that I rarely pay attention to my Last.FM feed these days. What scrobbles scrobbles and I'm not invested in the site nearly half as much as I used to be (I used to be here ALL the time before, and uploaded lots of music from local bands that has since disappeared).

There was an old insane lady in Osaka about 20 years back who decided she would try to drive her neighbors insane with constant noise. This is her screaming at them to "move move move" while beating her futon. This went on for a full year. The neighbors finally filmed her constant mischief and she did some time, haha.

Hey JP, I was listening to this awhile back and thought you might like it...a bit noisy, but kind of has an old (land of rape and honey/mind is a terrible thing...era) Ministry vibe. https://unifuckingform.bandcamp.com/

Yeah, I'm not sure what they were thinking. It certainly ruffled a few feathers around here though. I, however, can't see myself quitting this site in the near future either...

Quite surprised to hear that japanese last.fm has got less functionality!!! One can tell the site isn't as popular in Japan considering bands that seem to be big over there very often have low listener-counts. So sorry that the work you put into your label has been made obsolete. :( Just checked the link from your about me, looks cool!

I have been here for quite a while (on and off though) too but am not even close, did you use the last.fm-radio frequently to achieve this? I really miss the old non-you-tube-powered radio, it's a real drag having to skip through countless rhythm-game-lets-plays, karaoke-videos and mobile-phone-live-footage, it's horrible. :(

Oh thanks. Your charts seem pretty hardcore. Over 11 000 artists haha :D. People must complain that you're always listening to the same old stuff ;). Perhaps I'll be able to pick up at least one new artist from that library of yours. So you're an American living in Japan? Hope you the best of luck with the job posts. :D
