Hi, You ask me about Gojira in France and nowadays we could say that they're the biggest and more respected metal band. Theirs shows are simple but powerfull, I've seen them 4 times and I hope to see them again next summer.

yeah, man. I blew the politically and socially correct behaviour self-improvement bit a long time ago and each time I try to have a conversation with people who aren't comfortable with others strong opinions about things, the rapport disintegrates rather quickly. Why even try? Better to make one's own music and prepare one's own food. There are quite a few people on last.fm that aren't comfortable with expressing criticism of music. In the bigger picture, web culture and communication is pretty pathetic compared to other means--unless one is communicating one-on-one, without the thought of any content being exposed to others. in other words, people here are very conditioned by "internet" culture and experience with flamers or various aggressive people venting on the web. someday you might feel like expressing your passion or your strong opinion; I have no problem with that.

to be honest, I think I'm trying vainly to listen to Abigail Williams because there's almost nothing good to listen to in metal nowadays. Maybe I should try the newest album from Enslaved, but I doubt there's anything exciting on it. probably better to not talk about music and just make my own again.

If you haven't heard Abilgail Williams, I suggest you try them. They too use some shitty synth in their music. They even have piano melodies playing at some parts. The guitarist(s) and drummer are excellent, but the synth and piano are f-ing annoying. It is possible to have good synth in your metal, but this is NOT how to do it! Anyway, I suggest you try Abigail Williams.
