Ha! Yes, it's a nostalgia trip but still love it today. "Time of the Titans" - absolute jam. And yeah, should get round to Kiss at some point, since I've run out of her newer stuff!

Really got into a lot of Malian/West African music through Issa Bagayogo (I heard "Bana" on Putumayo Presents) and apart from that, I listen to World on Radio 3 every Friday who usually have at least 1 great African track per show. I really like the rhythm/repetition of Malian music in particular, a lot of cool artists have come out of Bamayoko :)

Glad to hear you're getting into it. Lemme know if you want more recs for Cocteau Twins stuff. Ah, nice on the Slowdive! I'm looking for Pygmalion on vinyl myself. I just purchased my turntable yesterday and got a few records today. I'd say listen to Pygmalion if you want something spacey and unique. If you want something a bit less bizarre, then go for Just For A Day. But I'd have to say right now that Pygmalion is my favorite of theirs. Such an interesting, unique record.

"Disarmingly honest" is a great way to describe it. I post a comment in jaywoolfs shoutbox. It is a shoutbox that I want to post in.

My favorite by them is Merriweather. I know it's not the cool answer to say, but I do believe that it's their best work. My second favorite would be Feels. And then from there Sung Tongs and Strawberry Jam and Fall Be Kind battle for space. They have so much great stuff though. And though I have listened to Spirit and can appreciate it, I certainly need to listen to it more than I do. I was enjoying Bat You'll Fly the other day. Tomboy is good, but doesn't blow me away. Definitely some great tracks on there though. I think Person Pitch is his best so far. I noticed you have listened to a little bit of Cocteau Twins. What are your thoughts on them?

They're certainly a 'different' band. Everyone's got their different tastes. And Purple Bottle is certainly a different track, but it's one of my favorites of any of their material, which just goes to show how different musical tastes can be. I just love how unique Animal Collective is. They're accessible to some degree on their later material, but still feature such a level of uniqueness throughout. Are you excited for the new Panda Bear album?

Souvlaki and Pygmalion are both cool. Definitely different albums. Idk if I have a favorite yet. Rutti from Pygmalion was the first Slowdive song to click for me. Cool song. Animal Collective is another band that I've seen your shouts in regards to. They've definitely become one of my all time favorite bands, and it looks to be that way for you too from your charts. Have you been a fan for a while?

Sweet taste man. I've seen your shouts all over the place and finally decided I'd say hello. Looks like you've been listening to some Slowdive and Cocteau Twins lately as well. I've been getting into Slowdive recently after them not clicking for me in the past. What's your favorite release by them?

Innit. It took me a while to get in to them, too. After being shown a couple tracks from Smile, my mind was changed though. Today and Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!) are probably my favourites other than Pet Sounds and Smile. Some of their material isn't even worth bothering with though. Truly awful.

Yes. Luckily I brought earplugs with me, didn't need them for the whole night but at times it was necessary. We were stood way near the back so it wasn't too bad luckily.

I listened to Hissing Fauna for a while yesterday and I really enjoyed it, it's a nice and accesible album, although I should give it some more time definitely sounds great. You got a nice taste too! Maybe you would like the album Great Annihilator from Swans, it's some experimental stuff but I think it's a nice accesible album :)

I've still barely listened to any of their solo stuff. Aside from 'Tomboy' by Panda Bear which I think is very good.

I wish the AnCo hype train was a thing. It would be cool, just getting drunk on a train full of people obsessed with AnCo.

You definitely should. It was crazy. Are you on the Facebooks, man? Would quite like to keep in contact and exchange music and stuff, can be easier on there.

Well, I only really know track titles off Hissing Fauna. They played Suffer For Fashion, Heimdalsgate Like A Promethian Curse, Grolandic Edit, The Past is a Grotesque Animal and maybe other stuff but I don't think so. They played a brand new song, which was good. Assuming a lot of the stuff was off Skeletal Lamping because of all the sexual lyrics which seem to be particularly prominent on that album.

The show was amazing. My friend took acid and said it was trippy as hell. I was sober but the lights and visuals still fucked with my head. There was a lot of improvised jamming, one that lasted particularly long when Kevin went off to change clothes.

He was just chilling after the show, incidentally he came over to me out of everyone there for some reason. Maybe he just saw me going nuts during the show or caught be eyeing him afterwards.

He's an animator. His most famous work is Salad Fingers but he has a lot of better stuff, and also has rad taste in music.
