I think it's Allie. Man, I'm listening to 무키무키만만수 right now and like, I feel like it's also wicked Alliecore. Weird Korean female duo making some outsider tunes. It has Samuel written all-fuckin-over it.

well yeah I suppose, and it would likely be very good. the reason I ask is becuz you seem to like them. I was fortunate enough to see them live in Toronto on four separate occasions. Many line-up changes each time and lit only by projections each time. I was never disappointed after seeing them live, but they seemed at their apex during the haha sound tour

Do you listen to Grouper? Don't see it in your library and it seems like something you'd enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oc8UUzlfwE

Sorry, I’m not going to use a 2 year old shout as the place to catch up with one of my oldest friends. You have my number and can reach out to me whenever. I’m tired of putting in the effort to be honest. Merry Christmas, Allie

I guess the gerogerigegegege already had this angle covered when they released an octopus tentacle piece in a box and called it "Art Is Over"

I like the juxtapositions between the glitch and the "earthy" drone/folk stuff. abstract/experimental mixes (especially those involving future club music in an abstract collagey manner) in general are my shit

it's a still from a russian satire film called "Комплекс невменяемости". they took footage of a bulgarian scientist working with animals and claimed that it was bromine and chrome injections.

and yes, i'm always on the lookout for bands that share the aesthetic. you know, i can't really describe it, but THAT aesthetic. based on your library i'm sure you'll enjoy C-Clamp. also if you like Labradford i highly recommend Stars of the Lid, it's ambient music but honestly their music is sublime, and a great deal above most contemporary "ambient" artists. generally Kranky records have put out an incredible amount of really great bands, i went through the catalog some time ago and the first 30 releases or so are magnificent. it has to do a little bit more with psychedelia than indie, but overall it's really hard to identify what exactly makes these bands great. well, Labradford's debut was actually the first thing ever to be released on that label, so that tells something. sorry for the wall of text

hey! i have been listening to a ton of slowdive because i'm seeing them in less than a month. are you into sophisti-pop? lots of prefab sprout, scritti politti, anna domino, the style council, aztec camera, level 42 etc here. the new lee gamble is flames imo. did you ever get into duster?

that is actually... really close to me. i am not too crazy about their latest songs, do you think they would play earlier material too? also, i am listened to duster's stratosphere for the first time seriously and it is magnificent. if you happen to know, are any of their releases anywhere as near as good as this? if not, i'll just stay here. it's like the proper and respectful evolution of what preceded it in the decade from numerous related genres.

robby has seen them and they had an amazing setlist. they opened with slowdive the track off the first ep (one of my personal faves) and played only two songs from the new record. totally worth going imo tbh. stratosphere has gradually become one of my favorite psychedelic rock records of all time. nothing from them is quite as good but the 1975 ep and contemporary movement are still amazing!

hmm, i did not think the word psychedelic upon hearing stratosphere the first several times, but i will listen again and see if that changes my perspective at all. the tickets are a bit much but i know that with an act like them there is no way i would still get in if i don't pre-order. i hope you are doing well. i do miss the lair days and enjoy seeing your posts on fb

i wish you could love telegram so we could talk more often :D i'm doing the best i can i guess. it's something to tell myself amidst all the awful things i tell myself. it's a lot of effort to be happy so i tend to just ride it all out, whatever. it's just one life. i call duster psychedelic rock just to emphasize how much i love them lol. the record is good enough to transcend the scenes they may seem to gravitate towards or come from. the record is versatile imo and that's what makes it special. i can listen to it on shuffle
