Thank you so much! Yeah I'm using a Macbook Pro and some recording software which allows me a lot more control and imagination than was previously possible. It's so much more fun

Saw you liked Kerouac as well, he's one of my favorite authors. This year I'm writing a bachelor paper about him and his work, along with some of the other beats. What do you think of him and which books do you like? :D

I'm jealous you got to see Elvis Costello live! He plays a lot over in the States. There's a fantastic version of Accidents Will Happen on a live from Hollywood album I think. If you haven't already heard it it's a really slowed down version and worth a listen if you can find it as it doesn't often appear on many of the live albums he's done.

off the cuff i'd say... it's alright ma, let me die in my footsteps, outlaw blues, tangled up in blue. at the moment i'm really into the very early stuff on his debut and the bootleg demos before that. reccomendations - townes van zandt (the soundtrack for the documentary 'be here to love me' is a good selection... early joni mitchell if you haven't heard that before, also try listening to laura marlings most recent album 'i speak because i can' it's quite something. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B41EOkqeFWs

Ah, I could give you hundreds. Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Tim Buckley. "I Never Asked To Be Your Mountain" and "Phantasmagoria in Two" are two of my favorites. I've also been listening to the Murdocks new album, called "Distortionist". I can't say there's a bad track on it, probably my favorite of the year. Chris Bell's "I Am The Cosmos" and "Speed of Sound" are two great tracks as well. Also, if you have any suggestions for me, I'm open to them. =D
