You were asking for something similar to Soul Coughing. I'd recommend Cake, they're a lighter rock band and Critters Buggin - an experimental acid jazz band that drives the same vibe as Soul Coughing. Happy listening! :)))) Also nice library.

I recognized your avatar in a shout box or side bar or something and thought, "I've seen that image before," and then I remembered it was from SA. I'm in a few related groups. What exactly is your avatar anyway?

One question though, how have you listened to so much of the Conet Project? Is it merely background atmosphere or is it the same thing that pulls you towards Boards of Canada?

You have great taste, whenever I'm browsing through my artists or ones I'm interested in you are consistently among the top played - or the only listener.

You can get early BoC material with Random 35 Tracks Tape, Acid Memories, Hooper Bay and Play by Numbers. R35TT has quite a bit of material on it, a lot of which you will probably be familiar with. The other three are all less than a minute worth of authentic material but apart from their studio discography there is nothing else. You can find it all here

You're very welcome. Yes, Dengue Fever's music is unique. Prerevolutionary Iranian Pop is something I would be interested finding more about and I'm grateful to you for this recommendation. The story of music there might be equally engrossing.
