That stuff is new to me. I appreciate the suggestions, thank you. I may be paying your library a visit or two, to see what other artists and albums I can discover.

Hmmmm. Judging by your charts, you like slow, ethereal stuff. I was going to recommend Jefre Cantu-Ledesma, but I see you already listen to them. Maybe try yellow swans and belong too, but you probably already know them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOcPjJhpMS8&list=PLFH4HRzHTL0TNn3yNPHU8ayYt-Y2tW9uO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euHoHdpGOa0 Enno Velthuys https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOPrHxT_vK8 Escape the day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3aoBxQ4VkQ Of course Sun Devoured Earth. The modern post punk album, by the band women - public strain https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEXQNSwrWZI&list=PL8C5C861393A4F34C&index=1 It's hard to imagine I posted much you don't already know. I really admire your charts, if you have any recommendations of something good, that would be cool. I have a lot of the same taste as you.

Sorry for the loooong answer. Well, I'm into techno these days, especially dub techno and the thing most people calls as "outside house". Labels like Echospace [Detroit] ([artist]Deepchord[/artist], [artist]Echospace[/artist], [artist]cv313[/artist]) and Chain Reaction ([artist]Basic Channel[/artist], Fluxion[/artist], [artist]Vladislay Delay[/artist] first two albums), and some artists like [artist]Actress[/artist], [artist]Andy Stott[/artist] and [artist]OOBE[/artist]. And, now that the LP was released, I'll start listening to [artist]Trickfinger[/artist], ex-RHCP guitarist, John Frusciante, acid techno alias debut LP. Bunch of AFX's Analord feelings on his debut LP.

You're right, it was perfect! I'm glad everyone was quiet and respectful as well. The last two times I saw her she didn't have a guitar but I was happy that she did this time. She opened with Alien Observer and I couldn't help but cry a bit, it was extremely overwhelming. An hour went by so fast. I can't wait to see her again. :)

I made some drum & bass in the past but, now, I've been trying to make an ambient/shoegaze tape project, in the vein of Tim Hecker and William Basinski. Everything very amateur, because I don't know how to play guitar and my synth textures sucks, so I haven't uploaded nothing from this yet.

every so often at a non-specific point during my day, the realization, suddenly & with a lurching sense of shame, will occur that I never replied to the thoughtful recs you gave me. Seam still haven't clicked with me, I need to try again, but Windy & Carl's music is seriously beautiful. thanks. I hesitate to rec you anything in return since your charts are so impressive already but you should try Eric's Trip, & also a '90s band from Australia called Bluetile Lounge

Indeed, bro! The worst thing about sending demos for labels it's the case that you really don't know if they even saw your e-mail or if they didn't liked your stuff, so you keep with that curiosity in your mind all the time. But, in the mean time, I keep making my own stuff and sharing some of them with friends.

I first listened when it leaked a few weeks back and I was like hmm ok. Then I listened again last week and I was like wow this is actually v good. I agree that Holding is the best song on it. For me it induces (dramatic word but it's honestly how good she is) the same feelings I get when listening to Moon is Sharp & Alien Observer. I missed her Hypnosis thing by a few days in June (I think it was in Leeds) but I did get to see her during Primavera. I just bought tickets to see the display in NYC and I'm really excited. You're lucky that she loves the UK!

lol this is like a million years later but thanks for those Smog recs, I really enjoyed those eps, especially "I Break Horses". I also checked out A river ain't too much to love and liked it a lot, rock bottom riser and drinking at the dam most notably. his albums are all pretty different which is always great. I think the album I have connected with the least is Red Apple Falls, which is strange since it seems to be his most popular/praised

Iasos is amazing! His "Lueena Coast" track is what I always wanted that new age music should sound like. Amazing melodies through the whole 4 minutes. You should listen to The Angels of Comfort too, which a psychology department (I don't know where or which one was) rated as being "closest to the music heard by people who have had near death experiences." Kranky Records is amazing too. I'm a huge fan of their catalog. I even tried to sent them a demo, but I never got a response :(

Anyway, my favorite ambient composers are Akira Yamaoka (his soundtrack for Silent Hill 2 is my favorite game OST ever), Tim Hecker, Deepchord, Fennesz, Stars of the Lid, Iasos, Oneohtrix Point Never and Hakobune, From this, you can easily see what kind of ambient music I mostly enjoy; dense minimalist compositions with a great use of unique textures and field recordings!

With me, it was the reverse: I got into shoegaze, after listening to ambient music. I never was a fan of shoegaze, but I always loved APTBS; but my interest with the genre only woke up when I was listening to Coldplay last month (especially Chinese Sleep Chant), hahaha!

at least the people at whatever venue you saw her at were quiet, when i saw Low at a bar the drunks wouldn't shut up. and there would be this one guy high on mdma yelling at Alan to play something good, the crowd eventually shut him up lol

wow i really love all those recs, Jessica Bailiff's work is really amazing, i love how trip-hop-ish and spacy she can be. Cynthia Dall's Untitled took on a lot of emotions and moods, droney/instrumental, really really enjoyed it, especially the last half of it.

hey you have really nice plays! A friend rec'd me to ask you for some slowcore recs. i've been addicted to Duster, Low and RHP for the past little bit, i'd like to find something more odd like Lisa Germano's "Geek The Girl-esque" (unsettling) (' _ ' ) - my whoa face
