god-am
my torisgod profile was not always 'real' listens - I often had my player loaded up with tunes and often it played for many hours while I was not actually listening. I created my new profile to be for only real actual listening - so it is accurate. the first profile is accurate to the sense of what I might be listening to if I could listen to music 24 hours a day! :-) i still use the torisgod profile occasionally when I'm listening on and off and it's just sort of in the background... don't worry, it doesn't seem to take that long to bring build the profile back up!

:-) don't thank me, it's Gilles Peterson and LeFto that showed this artist to the world! Let's hope the album comes out very soon. I'm hoping on a delivery of the 10" EP in a few days..

haha. i landed on your page cuz you were on of the top listeners of Belleruche i think. and then i discovered how many of your artists i havent listened to before. after that, i just wanted to learn more about you and your music. obviously from your library i can see you listen to alot different kinds of music. so how would you define your music taste. and what genres you have yet to grow fond of? for me that would be dancehall and dance music.

About Declan de Barra: I started with "song of a thousand birds" and I was amazed, but his latest album "Fragments, Footprints and Forgotten" is also really good and so... irish ;D But if you wish to fell in love with this artist ;) try Clann Zu "Black Coats and Bandages" or "Rua".

Thanks for the visit and the friend request. I usually listen in "Shuffle" mode when I'm online--I like to be surprised, discover similarities between otherwise different artists. Hence the chaotic history. Here's to good music!

Greetings . . . I see you have Rokia Traore in your library; two other fine female singers from Mali are Oumou Sangare and Mamou Sidibe. You might also like Ana Moura, the wonderful fado singer from Portugal. Happy listening!

Want to tag Ukraine & Turkmenistan in one visit? [artist]2Sunny[/artist] - mixture of folk music from central Asia & eastern Europe with electro-dance. Both their videos are linked here. Download those two songs and one newer song at http://soundcloud.com/2sunny. Oh, and they sing in Russian.
