I checked out Satisfaction Guaranteed by Morning Reign. I found it on their 2001 self-titled album, which I'm guessing is a compilation. I'm checking out other songs off that album. Excellent stuff!

Tell me what you think of this. Right now I’m the top listener on the site for manilla road yet I don’t listen to any of their heavy metal albums. It’s all their psychedelic and space rock discography. Does that make any sense?

Now that you mention it, I don't think I ever got around to these albums by Manilla Road, wasn't even aware of their psychedelic and space rock material, I'll definitely be checking them out soon! I guess the band is not that popular so even if you listen to these specific releases only it can give you a top listener spot. I don't really know how it works tbh, but I know it's easier to get on there if you listen to the more obscure stuff. I wouldn't even call Manilla Road obscur tho so idk.

I wouldn’t call them very obscure as a whole, they have a large cult following and are a great gateway band into the heavy metal scene. They were for me and I really liked albums like Crystal logic but then once I went and listened to their debut album invasion I lost interest in all else immediately. Space rock manilla road is ridiculously obscure compared to the rest of their discography though since I’ve seen no one else with these releases in their top albums for manilla road but me.

Wow, I see you're a top listener of Gardy Loo! I'm listening to them now and I haven't listened to them since 2019. What did you think when you first listened to them?

Ah okay, cool! I haven't listened to them since 2021. I overheard something on TV, someone mentioned "crypt" in the show Crossing Jordan. It reminded me of a Gardy- Loo lyric (it's from Help! Dr. Foster) and I wanted to listen to Gardy-Loo again for some odd reason lol!

Why no scrobbles for Pantera's Metal Magic? I noticed you scrobbled almost all of the albums, yet Metal Magic is missing.

Yes. I noticed he was sounding kinda like Rob Halford. You can clearly tell he's influenced by Halford. Very few vocalists shockingly still sound amazing like they did years ago. The best example I can think of is Satan's vocalist Brian Ross (also sings for Blitzkrieg). I have no idea how he kept his vocals in such amazing shape. I listened to a newer Satan album and I was blown away with how he still sounds like the way he did in the 1980's.

I listened to one of the new Judas Priest singles and I was so amazed by Halford's vocals. Wow, like that's not autotune or any studio trickery. Those are his real vocals.

I saw you listened to Steel Fury. I started listening to them yesterday. Very good thrash metal/speed metal, I'm listening to their only album again. I also rewrote their bio. Remember listening to them or no? I noticed you were in their Listeners You Know section.

Here's an interesting recommendation. Drahdiwaberl. They're also from Austria, like Novak's Kopelle (in fact, they were in the similar artists section on my streaming service). Oddly, they started in 1969 and didn't record their first album until 1981. Psychoterror is their first album and check that out first.

Great to see Black Flag and Dead Kennedys in the top artists for the last 7 days, those along with Misfits are some of my favorite punk bands, especially the Black Flag material starting with My War up to In My Head, that's easily my favorite era of them. Oh and Alice Cooper too, another great artist, did a discog run not too long ago. He's had many great albums throughout the years, especially in the 70s and 80s, but also some later ones such as The Last Temptation and The Eyes of Alice Cooper I really liked. Overall my favorites I'd say would be Billion Dollar Babies, Killer and Welcome to My Nightmare, also really love that late 80s trio of Constrictor, Raise Your Fist and Yell and Trash. Which of his albums do you like the most?

Hey! My favourites would probably be "Trash" and "Billion Dollar Babies" although I still need to give everything else more spins as well. I remember really liking "Killer" the first time I listened to it. On the side of the more recent releases, "Along Came A Spider" I thought was enjoyable and "Brutal Planet" as well.

I wasn't too much into Along Came a Spider, other than the opening and closing tracks and quite surprisingly the bonus tracks, but I did really like Dirty Diamonds for the most part. Brutal Planet was good too, and I also forgot to mention the very overlooked DaDa in my favorites.

Overall, I like it. They are always consistent, nothing ever sucks with Cirith Ungol. I will say, same as Forever Black, it's a bit unmemorable compared to the first two albums that I will go back to every year for the rest of my life. But I guess they're impossible to top. Still really good and tbh impressive for a band that old to still release such quality. I still need to listen to it at least one more time to be sure. But overall, thumbs up! How about you?

I like it as well, and I agree with you. It's super solid, and it's amazing they've been keeping it consistent for such a long-long time. My favorite track has to be Relentless. The opening riff is so good and heavy it just sucks you in intsantly. Also, as of now, I think the record has less memorable tracks than Forever Black but I need to give it a couple more spins to fairly judge it.

Your compatibility with tgb89 is Super (94%). You both listen to Running Wild, Overkill and Judas Priest Hi there! Saw you in the Tank's shoutbox with another crap situation with rappers, which don't want to check already existed (still existting) bands out. Realy. Why it heppens in the Internet era when even in the 80s young thrash metal artists gently changed their band names with any doubt of fact of existing any band with the same name? I believe whenever this madness will be ended. Cheers from Ukraine! P.S. : R.I.P. : Tove Jansson

I think it's actually pretty decent for what it is, a 50-something's first attempt at a rap album. But the fact that it's the Macho Man himself gives it an endearing quality to me, it's fun to hear him rap. Even tho it's not Dre level or something, but of course it's not! People have been judging it too harshly, in my opinion. Maybe they listen to it with the "I want to hate this" mentality cause it ain't that bad. And more importantly, it's fun!
