Happy birthday!!! It's my name day today (saints and martyrs and religious crap like that). Silly, I know. Esp. for a seriously anti-religious person like me. But anything that gets me gifts or just people calling to say happy name day. ;) I totally know how it is with people forgetting to call, esp. since I tend to attract the biggest egoists, so I've had more than my fair share of "friends" for whom the "friendship" was all about them, them, them and nothing that concerned me mattered much. Though really, it's my fault for allowing it. Way more than once, too. Anyway, hope you have a nice day, regardless of whether people call or not. Just think of it like that - at least you don't have to translate things like "I shall be gentle unto your form the now." I kid you not, that's what I'm dealing with!! I dislike spotify (maybe 'cause for the longest time us, uncivilised Bulgarians couldn't use it), but I love deezer, totally worth the subscription.

I remember once reading a quote by someone that if the earth was small enough for us to hold in our hands, we would be so stunned by its beauty, the only thing we'd want to do is admire and cherish and protect it... And yet, even though it's the only home we have, it's often as if we couldn't care less... And yeah, it's equally beautiful both seen from space and living on it. It's incredible how, as far as we know (and probably *will* know) we might very well be the only intelligent life in a universe that is too immense for our minds to comprehend and yet instead of feeling closer to each other because of this, we insist on perpetuating hatred and discord based on the pettiest, most insignificant of pretexts. With all that we have in common, we can't seem to see past the incredibly minuscule "differences" that exist between us (most of those differences - of our own invention).... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Sh4tu5Xfhw

Brilliant TopJim, I wouldn't have got the Supergrass link, which almost defies my inspired by Pink Floyd tag, since it is simply a copy!

Thanks Top Jim, though having made my comment about Dennis Wilson's Cocktails 4 years ago, you can forgive me for not remembering having made it. That having been said, you definitely are right. I was making a play list of tunes ironically called "They think they are Floyd" possibly after I came across this track, because I think there are plenty of artists ripping off Floyd, but I never had the epiphany of sticking Dennis onto the list. It is taking me some time to make this list organically as I come across tracks and this makes track number 9 http://www.last.fm/user/pogopatterson/library/playlists/62d1s_they_think_they_are_floyd.

Here's another shout then ;) I LOVE the Alan Parsons Project (and the older I get, the more I love them). And yeah, Travis are good. Time was, I used to listen to britpop a lot (never much cared for the name. Or Oasis;)). Have kinda moved onto other stuff, but still like them and revisit them from time to time. :)

Old and Wise sung by Woolfson? I'm impressed! It's a very lovely version of a stunning song. :) Cheers!

Hi! I've never really thought about it before but I guess you're right...I am more of a whole album person than a 'shuffler'!- most of the time, anyway. Reading the comment below about Shed Seven...I've always been a big fan too, AND PROUD! Despite what my friends say ;)

Why I love llamas: 1) I like animals with hoofs in general--goats, horses, camels, don't ask--and llamas seem like the best combo of the hoofed creatures 2) they're soft and wooly 3) those big beautiful eyes and long eye lashes 4) you gotta like an animal that spits 5) They just seem like overall gentle creatures. I've only got to hang out with llamas a few times, so this is probably over-generalized...llamas may vary ;)

I haven't seen the original. Though I did hear some Swedes talking about how the English version was better. One of the reasons I absolutely loved the English version is Kenneth Branagh. He's rather cute. :3 Pale skin, light hair and a good, old fashioned fat belly = the sex. Oh, and HELLO! Irish! *drools*

Wallander is originally Swedish. BBC redid it with British actors, but the characters are still Swedish. :3 It has a different feel to it than any other detective show I've watched. I guess I enjoy things focused on a smart and lonely middle aged man.

American TV stations are the same. I believe mum used to watch Kojak. I do love a bald man. :3 Did he have one of those magnificent 70s facial hair styles?
