damn drums in 2016 version, they are insane!!! get crazy every time when part 3:06-3:17 kicks in, it's heavy as hell!

The NHC version is amazing, but I'm nonetheless glad he re-recorded it, because the Blackstar version is somehow even better, and I don't think the NHC version would've worked as well in the context of the album - the pacing is somehow off. They're different enough that I'm definitely keeping the NHC version in my Bowie playlist, though. Maria Schneider's Grammy was well-deserved.

3:06 Sounds exactly like Death Grips. Visconti did say they listened to them a lot during the Blackstar sessions.

I prefer the Blackstar version. He turned a big band style jazz tune into a kickass jazz fusion song.

The backing band really did an outstanding job. Cheers for that. I loved the original version, but I find this one a lot better. Amazing.

The drum pattern is mesmerizing, I love it! [2] I wish more rock had drumming like this piece. Maybe in the future it will.
