"Castles In The Air" was released as a single in early 1972 as the B side to McLean's bigger hit, "Vincent." "Castle In The Air" tells the tale of a city man who can no longer stomach the airs of high society put on by his city girlfriend. He pines for a country girlfriend to marry.
