This track originally appeared on the album "Obscured By Clouds" by Pink Floyd. The album's tracks were written as OST (Official soundtrack) for the movie "La Valley". When the movie producers refused to give more credit to Pink Floyd, Roger Waters, along with Pink Floyd's manager released a tweaked version of the OST as "Obscured by Clouds".
This song is about the free spirit of adventure rather than the goal of receiving rewards. As the protagonists sings"You go your way, I'll go in mine….please don't expect me to stay, i'll get my kicks on the way!".
The distinct guitar solo by David Gilmour is one of his most under-rated solos in comparision with the rest of his guitar work.
